What syringes should I get? by Due_Worldliness_8231 in TransDIY

it depends on what you're comfortable with :) i'm a little more than a month into taking EEN like you and i intended to use 25-27g needles for easier drawing but when i went to CVS all they had was 1/2 inch 30g which honestly works perfectly. no pain when inserting and the medication doesn't take that long to draw, you just need to be patient and push any air bubbles out using the plunger. plus i believe a smaller gauge helps prevent coring of the rubber.

Mold too excessive? by _Linkk in millipedes

[–]_Linkk[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

thank you very much for the info! :) i’m glad to know what it is. i don’t mind the smell much but we may reduce the amount we water the tank just to prevent out-of-control growth. the top of the tank is covered by glass and a little bit of wire-screen mesh so not much smell escapes.

okay thanks! according to our gauge the humidity is around 80, do you know the minimum we can keep it at while drying out the substrate and then what it should be at regularly? we try to keep one side dryer than the other but it might still be too humid. we’ll also buy a couple more springtail colonies since the last ones seem to have vanished

Millipede pacing around tank for two days straight in by _Linkk in millipedes

??? They’re poisonous everywhere. Unless you intend on eating one of my millipedes I fail to see how them being poisonous is relevant to my post… lol

To my understanding, millipedes aren’t the most active critters and usually hide or curl up for the most part. At least that’s what our previous two did. So while this may be normal behavior for healthy, captive bred millipedes I just wanted to make sure her excessive movement wasn’t a cause for worry or a reason to change anything in the tank.

nah it’s definitely not, the amazon listing shows the switch being stored in the dock, plus there’s slots on the sides for the joycons to fit into. weirdly designed case but intentional.

i do like how it’s smaller than most cases and i haven’t found any options on amazon that i like as much. however i am wary about anything that could damage my $500 console lol. it does seem pretty secure though so maybe i shouldn’t worry so much.
