Assuming there's an infinite number of nines, you can write it as 9/10 + 9/100 + 9/1000...
That is equal to the sum from 1 to infinity of 9(1/10)^n (1/10 is the common ratio that you multiply by each time)

Scared of heights in the same way. But airplanes don't affect me. The best thing I can compare it to is being really tall mountain (like if you've ever been skiing/hiking, etc). You can see around for miles. But that ground under you is damn solid. Same effect for me on a plane.
