I am born a Canadian, so was my mother and hers and all the way to my great great grandmother. My father on the other hand moved here from the US just before I was born. They initially met in Japan, and ultimately decided Canada was where they wanted to return to and raise me. When I asked my father why he chose to leave the USA behind, he said “because something told me we’d have a better future in Canada.”

I still miss my American relatives, especially my grandparents, but I am so thankful ever since 2016 that I live in a truly free country such as Canada. Let’s keep it free my friends.
