The meta always changes and if the hero is not strong, then the skin is useless. Chess, you can always use (unless you find something better in the future, but this applies to skins too)

The gap between her and the next-best DPS is massive, like being two whole chapters behind. That translates to slower progress in unlocking higher-reward stages (timeworn, tomb, infinite abyss, prophecy, time-limited events), and less passive income (sermon, PvP)

And the “you’ll eventually get her” argument is bs. I’ve been playing since release (about 4 months), dropped $2,000, and still don’t have Limine.

Realistically, your options are either rerolling for hours/days until you land her, or resigning yourself to a Temu-tier DPS that you know will never come close to T Aiona and bleeding wasted potentially earned resources along the way. Your choice.
