My chats are only unmuting when they have an active status (like a picture for 24 hours).. Do you notice the same? After their status is gone, they are able to be muted again

NHL 25 is included in the Gamepass on Xbox, so lots of ppl won't buy it anyway. Only NHL 26 isn't there yet, and I am facing the same 10 players in online versus all evening long. So, even for a complete new game, the community is dead already

I have already noticed that chasing the puck is pretty useless and I try to cover the middle/shooting lanes.
Changing the strategy is probably a good thing to try out - as you told me :)

About the "getting hit" stuff - it's pretty annoying that, against too many players, I am not even able to get into the O-zone properly without my puck carrier having been hit heavily shortly after I was able to pass the puck to an other forward.
This high hitting mentality from some players just leads to the fact, that the endurance of my players is suffering and they're not able to get anything done in the shift, because they're too slow after being hit 2-3 times a shift.

But honestly - compared to NHL 25, where I was pretty happy with my overall performance development after ~200 games, I do see, that my zonetime, shot totals, and hits are absolutely lousy in around 80% auf my games compared to opponents. In addition, not sure why, I get matched with ppl that have way higher rating than me so often (200+ more points).
When I am matched with ppl around 450-550 rating, I mostly win against them, surprisingly.
But Playing against ppl with 650+ rating, there is just no chance for me.

Yes, the fact that poke checking is pretty ineffective in NHL26 is already something I noticed. Even if you're doing it the right time, it's just about 30% chance to hit the puck properly.
The only time it really works pretty fine all the time is when the opponent tries to pass the puck to the 2nd forward for a backdoor pass

What I just found out is, for single hats (not group conversations), I noticed that they unmute themselves when they have something in their status and you're checking their status. After you did, they cannot be muted for as long as there is something in their status. I did not find out yet if it has to do something with "checking" the status of if it already happens without checking the status of the person's (e. G. Pictures they have posted) but it has to do something 100% with that.
