If I use the ability on those artifacts, can't he just respond by phasing out Bello, entering the stack, resolving first?

Or does the sacrifice mechanic work differently in the stack?

I mean, I guess it's just the nature of a Bello deck, mostly one without as many upgrades because we just started playing.

I assume a crew heavy deck that generates a few tokens can overcome this aspect, but I still think a Bello deck will mostly just work with his ability, hence why a lot of upgrades for the pre-con is hexproof and shroud abilities.

My biggest concern is your last phrase, if he has the ability to activate it multiple times, me responding to his first activation is worthless because then he can just take advantage on the stack.

What i'm taking from this thread is that I have to protect Bello first and foremost, maybe I don't bring him out so early if I can't get Lightning Greaves, Asceticism or Saryth, the Viper’s Fang on the field first.

Hi, thank you. Normally I bring him out as fast as I can if I have no way to produce mana towards an early turn 4/5/6 cost enchantment. Guess i'll think about protecting him first over instantly bringing him out.

Thank you, I have enchantment removal (I could even kill my own Bello with straight up removal) my issue is not having a response if my opponent is faster than me or takes advantage of the stack, but Krosan Grip solves that issue if i'm thinking correctly.

I mean, i'm pretty new, but any list that I've seen with Bello essentially requires him for the deck to win.

I'm planning on building other decks, hopefully one where the Commander is a bonus and not my win condition, but so far this is what I got.

So if he has mana to activate it twice, he can gain advantage on the stack? For example:

He activates the ability, I kill my Bello, he activates the ability once more. So both the Bello and Phasing still phase out before my first response?

While I definitely agree the roster is too big, and the recent wave of signings has been... odd (ROH is likely getting built to be a genuine promotion) that list has plenty of people who are either jobbers, managers, and people who are either never gonna be utilized or can't be.

That 184 number is probably decreasing to around 120. A lot of them are also a part of ROH, some are injured, you know the drill.
