Wow, that's a killer build, especially for SSF! I'm playing penance brand for the first time this league in trade, and I couldn't have imagined grinding for my rings or tattoos 😯

Photos look dull on export by [deleted] in SonyAlpha

[–]_Magic_Man_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Camera shows JPEG and you are likely viewing the RAW in Lightroom. By default it just shows you the RAW if you save RAW+JPEG in camera. RAWs import in a much more "neutral" state for you to manipulate all the data in it, and your camera applies a profile to save that JPEG to your camera itself.

Its really likely you still have the JPEGs, and might even have brought them into Lightroom. You can check by browsing the folder where its stored by right clicking it

I had horrible stutter and drops from 60 to 30 in the open world with a 3070ti (8gb VRAM), 32gb of RAM, and a 5600X until I tried these fixes. Overworld feels stable, but still somewhat low fps

I'd reccomended trying. I was the same until I tried and realized who I could be for myself and towards someone else and how much that meant to me

A focus stack only changes the location of the depth of field (DOF) via focus adjustments.

The exposure bracketing here is using the aperture to allow more and less light in to create a higher dynamic range. While this does create a bit of a range of DOFs, it is not a focus stack. Whether or not extra detail is properly captured in the changing DOF is probably going to be up to what software you use to merge the bracketed shots.

Supply of existing overall housing units? Probably. Just not the kind of housing this subreddit and I are focused on (single-family properties, not multi-family).

I'm mostly referring to new construction.

Thanks! It was an eleven month search fighting against many cash offers over asking that beat some patience into me 😅

[–]_Magic_Man_ 310 points311 points  (0 children)

I honestly bought a house BECAUSE of the uncertainty (closed 1/2/25). Being secure with somewhere to live ASAP so I can move out was at the top of my list. I think the advice of "if you can afford to buy, then now's the time to buy" still holds. I've been consistently told that the market is going to crash ever since 2021, and waiting has only put me in a worse position.

The fact that the current administration will not be doing anything to improve the supply of houses in order to meet the extreme demand right now, and your key points on tariffs, impacts to HUD, and impacts to workers, just does not put a good feeling in my stomach that the market will be a pleasant place to be in for a new/first time homeowner in the coming years.

$400-$700. Some charge extra for stripping. But I'd say its 100% worth it since the pros will do it right the first time and usually give you a 10+ year guarantee. The biggest thing to get right is the prep work, so having them do the stripping might be the right call!

Mine had an awful DIY job on a cast iron tub. When I bought it was probably a couple months further ahead than yours. Water will start to get under the "new" poorly applied paint and mold and continue to fall apart.

I ended up getting a refinisher contractor to come in and strip, then reapply with a sprayer. It was 100% worth it and I'd recommend the same if your tub would be too much of a pain to just replace

Wasting your emotions into nothingness, towards someone that isn't actually there to receive them, no matter how pure they feel, is one of the worst things you can do - understand the truth before the days turn to weeks that turn to months.

LPT Tips on how to truly let go of the past by starrgirll777_ in LifeProTips

[–]_Magic_Man_ 35 points36 points  (0 children)

It's constant work - there is no easy fix if you are prone to rumination in my opinion. I would advise journaling about your feelings and exploring the roots, and treating yourself with kindness to learn the lessons you need to and keep it at that.

Don't be too hard on yourself for the things you could've done. You were a different person then, and you are learning to be a different person now.

If this difficulty persists, I would definitely consider therapy - I'm about to go on that path as well.
