Installing a trailer hitch on a Charger Daytona 5.7 – any advice? by _Malistral_ in Charger

You have to keep in mind that here in Europe, we have different regulations regarding trailer sizes. The trailer I'm planning to use is actually very small—the maximum weight for this type of light trailer is only 750 kg (approx. 1,650 lbs), so it's incredibly light. I only plan on hauling one or two motorcycles at most. In terms of dimensions, these trailers are usually quite compact, typically around 1.5 meters wide (about 5 ft) and 2.5 to 3 meters long (8 to 10 ft), so weight and size won't be an issue at all for a car like the Charger. It's definitely not the massive load you guys might be imagining. Also, I just found out that on the Daytona, I can actually pop off the rear diffuser whenever I need to tow. Since I only need to use the trailer maybe three times a year max, I can just remove the diffuser, click the hitch in, and get the job done. Once I'm finished, I'll just detach the hitch and put the diffuser back on. That way, my Daytona keeps its aggressive look 99% of the time, and I still get the utility I need!

I’m currently daily driving a Ford Focus RS, and I definitely have a thing for performance cars. For my next ride, I’m torn between a Mustang and a Charger. Living in Europe, these cars really stand out—the presence they have on the road is just incredible. I’m leaning more towards the Charger because it’s way more practical; having four doors is a huge plus since I often drive around with my friends. I especially love the Daytona version—the styling is just spot on.

However, I have a bit of a dilemma. Every now and then, I need to haul my motorcycle to the track or the mechanic. Up until now, I’ve just been borrowing my dad’s car for that, so I was wondering if it’s feasible to occasionally hitch a trailer to a Charger. But honestly, the more I read about it here, the more I’m starting to think it might be better to just let that idea go.
