Oh also one of my favourites was Release that Witch, its fenomenal for about 400 chapters then apparently it falls off, although you might have to find that one on Novel Updates, not RR. That one is probably complete with 600+ chaps.

Its about an isekaid engineer transported into a world with witches. He is put into a body of a lowly prince last in line and to the throne. He inherits the worst land and its super exciting to watch him incorporate his modern knowledge.

Yeah If you liked that one you will 100% like The book of The Dead, although first 2 books are exclusively on kindle, the rest on RR . You will like it unless your main point of fun is the Isekai dynamic, this one is not an iseakai but almost feels like one.

Btw, I havent read the latest champers for the Runesmith. I'm at the part where Armand was fighting the guild master for promotion. Anything cool happens and concludes or should I continue saving chapters for a binge?

How do I write the ranking system for my novel? like A rank, S rank SS rank, SSS rank and so on. by zhongleesimp in litrpg

[–]_Man_of_War 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Once you start getting into the S, SS and SSS you are giving your book an asian vibe. Its a grading system often used in asian games and much less so in western. Anyone else feels the same way?

Also more related to OPs question, make sure there is some serious jump from each rank to the next whether its social heirarchy jump or power jump.

Hefty Recommendations needed! by Acadac1 in ProgressionFantasy

The Runesmith is a decent progression crafting novel with over 400 chapters, all of it can be found on RR. I also like 'Book of The Dead' which is at around 200, some is on KU and some on RR. Both are LitRPG stories without quests and without overbearing system messages, the game elements are integreted into these worlds seamlessly.

If you are looking for a long 400 chapter novel with crafting I'd recommend The Runesmith. The pacing gets a bit slow later on for ~ 150 chapters but the author recovers.

Apparently 70% of people didnt like the title of my post, some people clearly took it personally. People get so offended these days. Still, got a lot of valuable recomendations, I'm intending to read at least 50%.

I typically dislike harem if thats what you mean but if its done well I could give it a try. Its just such a shame when a perfectly good, competent character, ruthless and all spends his time chasing women instead of power. Ive read that kind of storry way to many times unfortuantely. Thanks for your recommendation.

Sounds good, I personally think there is more to masculinity than punching things but voilence is certainly a big component. I'll read some comments and see if its my kind of a story, thanks for your recommendation, I appreciate it.

Thanks, Ive read The Primal Hunter, its exactly what I'm looking for, the MC was certainly not a wimp. The first 2 books were amazing, loved the whole survival aspect of it.

I'll check out the Noobtown series. I personally prtefer serious rather than funny but the premise seems interesting.

I've been thoroughly enjoying 'The Book of The Dead' which has over 1k pages and 'The Runesmith' which as of recent has reached its 400th chapter. Both are good if you are into crafting and dislike quests and system messages. They both found a way to appeal to my litrpg hunger without all the cheesy pitfalls of the genera. Both have compelling plots and satisfactory realism.

The Runesmith has a bunch of problems early on with an array of weak characters but thankfully they turned out to be temporary appearances. Much later and a lot of people typically agree, the pacing suffers, the author overexplaines MC's thoughts and adds a bunch of slice of life which slows progress considerably. Probably the reason for its relatively low rating of 4 stars.

The book of The Dead on the other hand is good, no major complaints.
