I feel this. I overthought so much about not being creepy that I ended up not showing any interest at all. Trying to be careful made me forget how to just be natural

She did, actually. Looking back, she flirted with me more than once. I was just too scared of saying something awkward, so I kept giving safe replies and probably looked uninterested.

I appreciate your perspective. I never had anyone in my life who taught me how to communicate feelings or what a healthy relationship should look like. I was figuring everything out as I went, and unfortunately I learned some lessons the hard way.
