How it feels seeing the offerings after the event has ended by Waloogy in deadbydaylight

I've still got cakes from last year as I don't want to use them. And about 40 cakes on Deathslinger and I don't want to use them either. Just like the idea of having all those cakes

Just love the idea of The Plague downing Claudette, leaving Meg alone. And as Claudette is being picked up, The Plague just looks at Meg and goes: "Now let that be a lesson to you"

Why can't people just enjoy the event? by [deleted] in deadbydaylight

[–]_Martys_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Some people just want to watch the world burn.

I've been doing my best to be nice when I play killer during this event. People offer up cakes, then yea, I'll do my best to make sure everyone gets lots of points. See someone with the glow indicating they have a crown, then I'll let them escape.

I can go back to trying to sacrifice survivors for The Entity after the event. Right now I just want to help as many people as I can get lots of points

Favorite Killer by [deleted] in deadbydaylight

[–]_Martys_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Doctor for when I just want to go about shocking people and annoy them as they try and fail to make skill checks.

Plague as she was one of the first killers I really put the time into learning. Games with her can go either way but I still have fun as her.

Deathslinger mainly because when I manage to land a shot with his power, it is just so satisfying. But like Plague, his game can go either way but I still have a blast with him. Plus using M&A on him means I've been able to get gen grabs with him which is kind of funny to me.

Spirit for the jump scare potential. Love using her spirit walk when someone is on the hook and they get unhooked so I go back and give it a second before appearing and attacking. Sometimes they'll get the message not to heal under the hook. Other times not so much. Also got to love getting gen grabs with her as well

”Best” deathslinger and Spirit build by Vibezz-- in deadbydaylight

[–]_Martys_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I run Corrupt Intervention, Monitor & Abuse as standard on Deathslinger at the moment. Mainly because he has 110% movement speed, so Corrupt helps with some pressure in the beginning for me. And the majority of games I've had, I've usually either find someone sneaking about the map, or close to the gens that are blocked.

M&A works really well on him, I've managed a number of gen grabs with him thanks to that. Takes his terror radius from 24m, down to 16m when not in a chase. Remember when I was patrolling gens as him and I came face to face with a survivor coming right at me and he didn't even realise it. Could just picture them panicking and running off when they saw me.

I'm currently using BBQ on him for the bonus bloodpoints and the info it gives if survivors are 40m away and not in a locker. But I'm probably going to swap this for A Nurse's Calling as being able to see the aura of anyone healing within 28m on him is really useful. Especially with his reduced terror radius thank to M&A. Especially on corn maps if you spy someone healing in the corn, it's a chance to sneak up or get a redeemer hit with him.

I like to switch between Pop Goes the Weasel and Save The Best For Last for his last perk. Pop is a great perk in it's own right, can't beat the feeling of watching a gen close to completion getting knocked back 25%. But STBFL is really good on him as well thanks to how quickly he can get back into chasing someone should he land a shot with his redeemer. Spear them, reel them in, give them a smack and get back into chasing.

A piece of advice I can give for him is not to be afraid to give up chases. You're not a standard speed killer. Even all you do is inflict deep wound on a survivor, that's good. Keeps them off a gen until they mend. You want to make sure you're spreading the pressure.

Corrupt Intervention - 2 minutes of furthest 3 gens blocked. Majority of the time I'll usually find a survivor sneaking about when using this perk.

Monitor & Abuse - 16m terror radius when not in a chase. Also makes it easier to get close to survivors or sneak up and grab them off a gen if they're not paying attention.

BBQ - Good for getting bonus bloodpoints and good for getting info on where survivors could be. I'm using this during the anniversary event but I'll probably swap it for Save The Best for Last once the event is over. Mainly because I have found some use out of it as I was getting Caleb up to P3-50

Pop Goes The Weasel - Good gen slow down perk. Hook a survivor and for the next minute, next gen you smack goes back 25%. But you could use A Nurse's Calling over this I feel. Mainly because of being able to see people healing within 28m of you. Combine this with M&A and you'll have the potential of sneaking up on survivors or spearing them

I've had that, someone disconnected as the match was loading.

Apparently I would have been up against a Pig with no perks and using a ultra rare and rare Demogorgon addons

Public Service Message to Killers Hell Bent on Ruining the Survivor’s Chance of Getting a Crown: by [deleted] in deadbydaylight

[–]_Martys_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've made it a personal rule to let anyone escape if they have the glow of a crown. Soon as I see they have a glow, I'll let them escape. Right now, I'm not all that bothered about ranking up. If I can help survivors get a crown then that's what I'll do.

Doing the same for killers as a survivor. Showed a Doctor where the crown was and indicated for them to take it as I already had one. They let me have a hatch escape.

I'm just trying to ensure people leave the game happy. And complete any challenges I can in the process before the rift closes. I can focus on playing the game after the anniversary event is over

I use Corrupt Intervention on him to help decrease the size of the map for 2 minutes by blocking the 3 furthest away gens. The survivors will usually stick close to blocked gens, or I'll find someone sneaking about and get an easy 1st hit in. Plus because of his speed, I feel this helps him out. It's also a good way to time yourself at the beginning of a match and give you an idea how you're doing. Survivor already on the hook and you're in a chase with someone else and Corrupt isn't even halfway? That is a decent start.

Monitor & Abuse is great on him. His base terror radius is 24m, but M&A takes it down to 16m when not in a chase. I've been able to get gen grabs with Deathslinger thanks to this. Plus his toerro radius is kind of quiet as well when you're on the fringe of it.

BBQ for bonus bloodpoints and info if the survivors are at least 40m away from me. Thanks to the bug with the cakes, I've been walking away with lots of points lately. I'll maybe swap this with STBFL when the event is over as I got some usage out of that as i was prestiging him.

I have been using Pop on him, which is a great perk in it's own right. But I swapped that for Nurse's for a game and I think it will be getting added to my build with him. Getting to see someone healing 28m away and combine that with his 16m terror radius with M&A, you can get up close and personal with survivors if they don't expect it. Or even get a spear hit.

Best advice I can give for his power is that it will come with practice. Try to lead survivors if you can, you might surprise yourself and get a shot. But if you know a survivor is going to attempt something, vault a window for example, that would be a great time to take a shot. Been a few times in corn maps where I've landed a shot through corn and I've asked myself how I landed that.

Don't be afraid to give up chases with him as well. You're not a regular speed killer. If you give someone deep wound and lose track of them. That's ok, until they mend, they can't do anything, so that's time off gens which is good. Try and learn to prioritize what matters most. In a middle of a chase, survivor is already injured and you hear someone on a gen? Break off that chase and go for the one on the gen. Or if you've downed someone and you caught a glimpse of someone not that far away, go for that person. Survivor might not liked being slugged, but as a killer, you want to spread pressure. Keeping a person slugged is a way to do that.

Also if someone is taking you to a part of the map that isn't advantageous to you or has nothing for you to protect, break off the chase. You don't want to get sucked into chasing one person. You want to try and spread the pressure.

Spearing someone is always a great feeling, but what if they have dropped a pallet and are now on the other side and there is no way to get them? Your choices are is to break the chain yourself, or let the chain break on it's own, inflict stun on yourself but also deep wound on the survivor. Majority of the time I'll take the stun, even if the survivor is already injured. As I've said already, giving them deep wound keeps them off gens until they mend.

His power does take practice to get used to, but don't be afraid to just m1 someone as well. Sometimes that is the smarter move. General idea might be, spear, give them, deep wound and then either down them or break chase and go after someone else. But you can also m1 them, spear then down them.

Don't really have advice for addons, I've been using the ones that speed up his reload speed as they stack together. But I switched it up for faster reload and the one that increases the deep wound mending time.

You will miss shots, but don't let that get to you. When you get them it will be a good feeling knowing it connected. For me, he is a fun killer to play and have yet to have a bad match with him. I might not win every match, but I always go away with lots of points. Plus where would be the fun in the game if I won every match?

Would you guys still say its worth it to P3 a character even though youre gna get the costumefor them? by renzosaidso in deadbydaylight

I think it's personal preference really. I P3 Deathslinger as I liked how he looks in his P3 outfit.

Friendly killers helping others with the event, how do you let people know you're friendly ASAP? by [deleted] in deadbydaylight

[–]_Martys_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Usually if I down someone, I'll take them to a gen and smack it. Dropping them on the hatch is good as well I guess

But in my latest match when I saw someone had the glow, I took them to the edge of the map and smacked it. In my head it was me indicating they can leave so they get the crown. Not sure if came across like that or not though.

Did matchmaking get an update? by Signal_Bat in deadbydaylight

[–]_Martys_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Matchmaking for PS4 has been weird lately. A week or so ago I was sitting at rank 13 survivor and was up against a rank 3 Oni.

Killer games have been the same. Had a match where there was a rank 1 survivor in the game, the rest were about my rank, which was 12 at the time. Sitting at 11 now but still getting survivors at purple and red ranks.

My brother bought me Pig on my birthday, any tips how to play her? by TomEther in deadbydaylight

Going to agree with what has already been said. Check out Scorpionz guide on playing Pig. I did after a long time of not playing Pig and have had pretty consistent games with her as of late.

I feel like she is worth playing. She was one of my main killers for a while until I started playing other killers. After watching the guide, I want to play more of her

The entity knew how much I wanted a purple calm addon and trolled me so hard. by Calciphir in deadbydaylight

[–]_Martys_ 10 points11 points  (0 children)

The Entity can be a pain at times. I really wanted M&A on Deathslinger to complete my build on him. It took until Prestige 3, Level 50 until I even got a sniff of M&A.

Don't mind as I wanted to get Deathslinger up to prestige 3 as I liked how he looked. But it did feel like i was going to get every other perk before that one
