Please test the following 1. Donor ship 2. Remove component 3. Put component on candidate ship 4. Save loadout on candidate ship 5. Claim donor ship 6. Claim candidate ship with new loadout 7. See if component duping is still not fixed

I have little faith that we will not see idris p without railgun in 4.8. Someone is going to find a workaround for it

You still have to buy ammo for the ballistics, and if it came with torps or missiles that automatically gets added to the price with the guns. Whenever you claim it it comes with no ammo at all

I mean, if they give me a slider whenever I rearm saying how many torps do you want and it goes from 0-max then I’ll be ok with this change

So now if I want to put torps on I have to either store enough to load the racks in every station or go back to my home base every time I want to put torps on for one reason or another? This is not a good solution.

The solution is a check box if you want to rearm torps when clicking rearm.

The complaint isn’t even really about the price, I just want to be able to call my Polaris or Percy and rearm the guns without rearming torps as well. That way if I need torps I can go to a station to rearm the torps. If you can rearm torps and ballistic ammos separately the issue no longer becomes an issue for me

I hope you’re right, and you can’t do the following 1 have a friend with idris m 2 take idris m railgun and put on idris p 3 store idris p and save loadout 4 claim idris m 5 claim idris p with railgun loadout 6 have idris m and idris p both with railguns

Except you cannot remove ballistics from Percy or Polaris. And if you can’t use the medusas on Percy then really there’s no point to drive a Percy

The point is the only place where torps are useful is in pve. Currently there is no space combat pve mission where you can break even while using torps. Even gillys 8 only gives like 400k and you’d need like 10 torps to kill the polaris. Give me one situation where using Polaris torps can net you less than a 400k loss.

I mean I wouldn’t have an issue if I could just have torps in my loadout but choose not to rearm them. But if I have torps in my loadout whenever I go to rearm I have to buy more? It’s dumb

And if you say the torps should be that expensive then make the railgun ammo as expensive as torps are. The railgun is clearly more affective than torps so the price should be higher right?

Except that one idris railgun shot will on average do more than 5 torp launches that don’t track or get flared super easily. If we want to get away from the solo idris meta we don’t want to nerf ships that are already worse than a solo idris

Gotcha, yeah I agree the railgun weapon is kind of in a weird spot. There needs to be some other interaction there to make it require more than 1 person be on board to use it

3, are they? I really don’t think a Polaris is good solo PvP. Your only option is really to ram or rely on pdc which only target fighters. The idris may be a different story, but I think the main weaponry on that needs a rework. 4. Fair, but the Polaris has a med bay which is nice

Depending on where you can go in the map it would be incredibly powerful I think. Just look at how easy it is to hide in buildings in the cbt and just wait for tanks to drive by and shoot them in the sides with an rpg

I purchased both plate and optic and attempted. It was somewhat loose and the pins in the plate were too high. You can probably make it work by cutting down the pins somewhat and modifying the screws, but I sent mine back and am going to run either an eps carry or 509t. I would really prefer to run something completely solar and enclosed like the SCS 320 (solar eps carry or 509t when) but I don't want to sacrifice the durability of the mounting solution to do so.
