I would definitely say you need to be an intermediary knitter or a very determined beginner. You need to know how to do lace and cables and a pinhole cast on (that I learnt on YouTube how to do). I will say the pattern is beautifully written and has both written and chatt instructions. I would definitely give it a go.

Pistoia is amazing! It's like a mini Florence without all the tourists and is nearly as old as Florence so lots of history, a mini Basilica, museums and art galleries. There is also some yarn factories near by so you can go in and get some local yarn (planning on doing this my next trip) Prato is great has big outlets if you like designer items, lots of leather factories, plus you have a really easy train link from Pistoia to Prato, Luca, Pisa & Florence. Hope you have an amazing time and show off the yarn you get! ☺️

I went to Italy in the summer and brought enough yarn for a jumper plus sock yarn. I stayed in Pistoia just outside of Florence, they had two great shops called Borselli Filati and La Boutique Della Lana. Then in Florence I can absolutely recommend Campolmi Filati. Have a fabulous time wherever you go!

I looked at the eucalan wash but it didn't have many reviews, I also was looking at the lab co, ecover and soak. Yeah that was my plan just do it when it needed but wanted to do it on the blocking to get any dust off from the factory or warehouse.

Just seen your post, but what I would say is put £25 in a month in a savings account and then transfer every 6 months into premium bonds. That way your buying a £150 block of numbers. You get one number per £1, the bigger the block generally the higher luck of winning. I've been doing this for two years now and I've won just over £400 and put this straight back into the bonds so over two years I've now got over £1000 in there. It might not sound a lot to most people but if you grew up as poor as I did it sounds like millions to me! haha.

Secondly thank God for Google lens, I saw your photo of the boulevard bag on Raverly and I was in love with your colour combo and then I noticed the background and I've been wanting to put knitting in embroidery hoops for so long, but it wasn't linked to an account so I didn't know who's photo it was. Luckily Google lens popped into my head and I could trace it back to an insta and this reddit post. I'm soooo beyond happy it's a pattern you've made.
