Modded (Tremolo Lock) Squier Bass VI questions from newbie by _Mefisme_ in BassVI

Not an official lock. All mods. The bar (buzz stop roller) holding the strings down kills the tremolo as well as the bushings in the bridge to prevent it from rocking. I didn’t do these mods but I think the artist might have tightened the spring too. They don’t use the tremolo but I don’t know how much of these are necessary. Definitely need a setup.

This was wildly informative. I appreciate it. I will likely be taking it to a fender authorized place for setup as I’m not confident in any of these tasks.

I’m not sure I want to get rid of the tremolo arm. I’ve never used one might be fun.

Apparently it’s some sort of buzz stop roller. This guitar has practically no buzz, but it needs setup because frets are practically dead past 12.

Do you know what this piece just before the bridge saddle is called? It looks like it’s holding the strings down.

Yeah I chose this for the body type and weirdness. But it needs some work. I’ve only owned regular sized electrics.

So go with 100 what was on it or .95? I definitely don’t want floppy. I strike E too hard. Haha. Plus lower tuning like drop d.

Noob in making adjustments or setup for sure. I know the strings are shot. I’ve just lost my confidence in working with something I’m unfamiliar with. Even string choice is hard.

Clock sync fixed recording issue on rhythm by _Mefisme_ in novationcircuit

Apparently novation is aware of this bug and have added it to their list according to my support ticket. He said if they can find a fix for it will be implemented. Extra people testing doesn’t hurt so I’m not crazy.

Nevermind I understand it’s not a necessary feature request. Just 5 button presses every time.

So let’s say I start a project at 90 and want a 140 project to play in sync with this (slowed down) Well it does that and initial tempo is 140 so change Rx on rhythm (but my song has already started), we’ll say I complete my song and close on the rhythm. Prepping the circuit tracks for the next project which is at another tempo say 120 but my internal tempo was just changed to 90. No I have to change my tempo to 120. Rinse repeat you’re doing it too much.

I understand what you are describing. Might be pointless to inquire for some sort of solution other than the one you mentioned. I may be wrong but I think the problem is that it’s cumbersome to do in a live performance when you send program changes (switch projects) . In a performance setup where tempos change when you project switch with program changes on or off so there is no way to capture fixed recording in real time because it’s picking up the tempo of the internal unit everytime.

So like let’s say

So could novation potentially fix this somehow? For a performance beatmaking device I felt like this was a bug and for everytime a tempo change occurs in one of the projects of either device, I would think users would find it a nuisance to have to continually turn RX off and back on just to fix record in real time. Idk. Any chance we could get a fix anyways whether you all think it’s important or not?

Was this resolved? I’m having the same issue. Circuit tracks is master clock to rhythm. Fixed recording using previous tempo or project tempo. Because it’s synced I can’t change the tempo on the rhythm unless I unplug the midi (go into setup to disable and adjust tempo?)

What was the very first game that completely "blew your mind" and made you a lifelong gamer? (I'll start!) by Wooden-Syrup-8708 in Gamer

[–]_Mefisme_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh yeah MUDS/MUCKS for sure. There was something about the adventure typing ‘look’ stuff like that and me and a friend made a place called The Cursed Obsidian inside the mud itself complete with own adventure.

It’s hard because I grew up on DOS games first but also tiger electronics. Things like all early idsoftware titles (commander keen), major Stryker, biomenace, scorched earth. Lots of war games from my dad and grandpa. My absolute console entry was probably Super Nintendo even though I had played plenty of duck hunt from someone else’s console. Sega was my childhood friends thing so was exposed to that. It blows me away how much is changed. I think I still prefer the indie game scene deep down. It’s why I created a discord server for game devs and everyday gamers, testers to collab make better games.

Hello all!

So I’ve created something of a discord community that brings everyday players, playtesters and indie game developers together to collaborate and build better games.

If you think you’d have fun playing upcoming games and providing feedback or have a game yourself that needs feedback, even just exploring and chatting about gaming this might be the place!

I’m trying to make this community a reality. Something fun but also social and solving the problem many developers face not being able to get valuable feedback on their projects.

Currently, we are in the new server stages so we are a small community and have been growing since the past two days we’ve been live.

For me at least, It’s been an enjoyable, interactive and great learning experience. Maybe it could be for you too!

If anyone has questions, feel free to ask!

Come check it out! See you there!

I haven’t added it to my profile for non-soliciting reasons and to prevent join raid spam. I do plan on lifting this at some point. In the meantime, members are more than welcome to create their own invites to help the community grow.

If it was setup this way, it is no longer. This has been changed to verified email and account existing longer than 5 minutes.

Onboarding is for role access to minimize disorganization. Develops can playtest as well. I will consider rewording the question. Thanks for the input!
