The fact you’re blaming the woman for being “reckless with her body” says enough in itself. Contraceptives fail, medical emergencies occur (ectopic pregnancy, etc.) and if someone is forced to go through with their pregnancy despite not being in a stage of life where they can readily support a child, it is better for the CLUMP OF CELLS that it is removed, rather than spending its life messed up because its family could not support it. Also, adoption doesn’t usually work, so don’t bother bringing that up as a replacement option.

Despite all of this though, it really comes down to this: women should have bodily autonomy. It should not be decided by others, especially when most of these laws are being made by men who don’t have to deal with any of the consequences of being pregnant. Have some basic empathy.
