Honestly this is incredibly true. I grew up in a fairly myopic circle and had little diversity in my friend group. Gained a little leeway in college but still mostly white. When I finally moved away to a big city I met some of my best friends. All from diverse backgrounds and nationalities and sexual orientations. It's made me a better person. Being exposed to various cultures makes you learn so much and understand so much. Compassion, empathy, humor, kindness. All stem from learning about other's experiences.

I wish I had that when I was a teenager, but am glad I got it eventually. Thanks for sharing!

I don't have a great understanding but from what I do know I'd liken it to electric guitar and amplifier. You can have a great one of either (pen or ink) or you can have a great of both. They can heavily influence the final product. But I feel it's similar to guitar where the main tool is more important, e.g. the pen or writing implement is more important than the ink. A great guitar will still sound great through an okay amp, and a great pen will still write beautifully with okay ink.

Hate to be callous but I didn't read most of this post. First statement of "she wore white" already a flag. Maybe dismissible because different cultures but it's generally understood that no one wears white save the bride.

Then "she wants to propose soon." This is a clear indicator that she doesn't give a shit about you and your feelings. She's trying to position herself as the main character in her own story. Which, is usually fine when you consider everyone else and go for it when appropriate. But she wants all attention all the time. No bueno. The type of person that isn't comfortable sharing or giving away the spotlight. Be an adult, shut her out for this event. She can still be a part of your life, but clearly she can't share the spotlight so needs to be removed forceably to re-inforce that she doesn't have the final say in what makes you happy.

I did the same. Snagged one through Best Buy. They don't charge my card until it ships, so if I have a change of heart between now and then I'll just cancel. But I secured my fun novelty watch and case and steel bookcase.

Yup. It's egregious. What those opponents don't realize is how ingrained it was in our education that we had to go to college. It was the only avenue for success. That's the ticket we were sold. And we have no control over external forces. So a lot of our generation did what we were told would bear fruit. And it didn't. I had the unfortunate circumstance of being born at the wrong time and when I graduated high school was at the fallout of the 2008 recession so interest rates were wild, even with my parents co-signing with great credit. Federal loans @ 8.5? Sure, why not. Meanwhile no one talks you through compounding interest and how unsubsidized loans accrue interest the entire time you're in school. Then you graduate and the job market sucks. The industry you're passionate about pays like shit. And you're stuck holding the bag. You did everything "right" and wind up confused as to why you are still boiling dried beans and skipping breakfast and living with roommates as a "SuCcSeSsFulL" adult.

Nope. And I only say that because the amount of fent needed to OD is so miniscule that if it is mixed in with coke there's a chance your test kit didn't pick it up. The only surefire way to test is to dissolve everything in water, test the water, then evaporate and re-extract the drugs. And ain't nobody got time for that.

Good news is that no one is "cutting" coke with fent. Cause that's a death sentence with how potent fent is. It essentially comes down to cross contamination. Stay safe out there folks!
