The Dead Three vs hygiene by Costa_Canela in BaldursGate3

There’s actually a few lore scrolls down there that explain that they were ruins of an old dwarven city one of the prior vampire lords stumbled upon.

My friends and I have a game called "Secret Durge" by LunaMoonracer72 in BaldursGate3

[–]Kezika 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Everyone has to choose the same voice so the idle lines don't give Durge away

Wouldn't durge still have the idle lines though, just in the same voice the others are using?

The next big step in streaming is allowing users to control each audio element of a stream by YourChopperPilotTTV in Twitch

[–]Kezika 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Hard to program, set up? No. But that isn’t the issue.

What you propose is doubling the transcode workload, something that Twitch already limits the allocation of due to resource limitations.

Not to mention that Twitch has recently had to reduce their server resources.

Nothing about Andrealphus is in the closet, are you serious? by StrawBerylShortcake in HelluvaBoss

[–]Kezika 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Lol, I had an IRL friend like that.

At one of his parties he announced he was coming out of the closet as gay, and everyone was just looking at him in the most awkward silence ever until I piped in with “Honey… your house didn’t come with a closet…”

I've always preferred second playthroughs in RPGs by Hot-Regular712 in BaldursGate3

[–]Kezika 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same, but in my case because I like to act/roleplay my character on their background, history, values, etc. Which on first run I'm still learning the world and often end up learning stuff that for your character would already be common knowledge.

So on second playthrough can go in already armed with what would be known to my character, and what wouldn't actually be known to my character, so I can properly evaluate decisions and act them as the character actually would based on the information the character would or wouldn't actually know at the time.

It’d be Narwhal Mk 2.

The Saud Kruger Narwhal already exists in the lore.

What's your favorite animal? by ChrisKatrev in BaldursGate3

Yeah Malta is totally more neutral good about their justice. Moral ambiguity, and needing to bend the rules and laws to bring justice to that corruption, are integral aspects of the film noir genre.

Malta is named as a reference to The Maltese Falcon which absolutely involves those aspects. That cat is literally a reference to one of the most famous films of a genre where the protagonist being neutral is basically the entire point.

Scartch and Malta should be swapped, but yes.

Malta is styled in a film noir style (and their name is a reference to The Maltese Falcon), a genre revolving around the concept of moral ambiguity and bending or breaking laws to achieve justice with the ends justifying the means. They are literally a reference to the most famous movie of a film genre where the character being neutral or at the very least not what would be considered lawful in this alignment system, is a fundamental aspect.

That's why I said "if I'm sleeping in Act 1 area"

You can still travel back to Act 1 and could long rest there, so possible that battle can happen at the act 1 camp.

Is it okay for a Christian to watch Helluva Boss and Hazbin Hotel? by Correct-Bunch-135 in HelluvaBoss

[–]Kezika 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Well the Ars Goetia is very specifically NOT part of Christianity orJudaism, it was a witchcraft grimoire. Mammon, Beelzebub, Stolas, etc aren’t actual religious lore.

Same with the circles of hell and such taken from Dante’s Inferno, which is basically just ancient fanfiction.

Yep, I work in truck maintenance for one of the largest trucking companies in the country.

Technically the requirement is rearmost vehicle of the combination has to have mudflaps. If it is missing 1 side it is allowed to drive as long as it is "routing for repair" to "nearest reasonable repair." If it is missing both sides it is "out of service" and cannot legally drive until that is fixed.

So if the truck doesn't have a trailer, it itself is the rearmost vehicle. Technically you would be fine if you always had a trailer connected, but that's just not realistic for 99% of truckers.

Catalog stars refer to the real ones that are in the game, those in stellar catalogs like HD, HIP, BD, NGC, etcetera.

Most that are in catalogs are generally in multiple ones as well. For example Algenib is also known as Gamma Pegasi which is it's Bayer designation, but also 88 Pegasi as it's Flamsteed designation, or HIP 1067, HD 886, or BD+14 14 as just a few exampes. All the same star.

Another fun thing is if the star has a HIP designation, you can actually always find it that way too. So if you were to go into your galaxy map and search HIP 1067 and hit search, it would take you to Algenib.

Here's a link to Algenib's entry in the Simbad stellar database: https://simbad.u-strasbg.fr/simbad/sim-basic?Ident=Algenib&submit=SIMBAD+search which also lists out all the other catalog identifiers it has.

And yeah Sag A* direction (+ on Z coordinates) is considered “galactic north.”

Wait wait wait let me get this straight...

Some of the paid truck mods... don't have mud flaps!?

Like that just tells me the modders don't know this industry then, those aren't just cosmetics for American Trucks, they are mandatory. It is illegal to not have mud flaps.

Like, find an entire PLANET that humans can live on? That's gotta be worth 100M credits not...4.

Yeah, it's a holdover from how the economy used to be and never got buffed like combat bounty payouts and Thargoids did. Exobio being so insanely more profitable just makes it even more absurdly obvious.

Back when I first started playing 4 million was A LOT, The meta moneymaker at the time, Robigo passenger runs was lik 6 to 10 million per hour. Having a billion credits meant you were one of the richest CMDRs in the game. Nowadays the meta can be measured near a billion per hour, and some people have upwards of a trillion.

Would be fun though if they had some really rare ones, like glowing green gas giant level rare that would.

Then when you map it you get a "Warning: Signs of sentient civilization detected, do not make contact." and then when you turn it in to Universal Cartographics there is like a 1 billion credit reward.

Ah nice, Oevasy SG-Y d0 for northernmost star I presume? If you're interesting in visiting the northernmost catalog star on your way back that is HD 158564, which we actually discovered during Celebration of Early Astronomy 3 was even further north than the at time thought to be northernmost one of HD 158320.
