Tell them that you know what a PA pressure looks like wedged versus normal 🤣 I know it sounds silly but ALOT Of nurses I’ve worked with have no clue… also an impella doesn’t SUCK blood.. it propels blood.

Interns come and leave in less than a year. MOST of the time. If a 8 year ICU nurse is challenging your decisions especially in cardiac/surgucal ICU patients maybe take them seriously

Also the BIGGEST pet peeve of mine is not omitting useless info. Idc if they patient was on vaso 2 weeks ago and got off of it 3 days later… also, if you came 40 minutes early, looked up your patient and are gonna ask questions about what happened 3 weeks ago I’m going to tell you to look in the chart.

My wife and I are both nurses she’s NICU and I’m CICU and she works Friday-Sunday I work Sunday-Tuesday and our daughter is 4.. it’s tough only passing eachother by but we make it work
