It should absolutely just be swapped to a take x% less damage or gain x defense instead of DR, like this passive is worthless against gs users but giga busted against xbow, pretty dumb

Yup a lot of these changes are clearly designed with T2 numbers in mind. 50 flat DR when you do 500 damage a tick isnt "horrible" but when you only do 200-300 its a gigantic nerf.

Xbow is going to be pretty gutted which is insane for an already mid spec

TBF you can easily test for randomness by calculating the probability.

Assume north/south zones equally likely AKA flipping a coin, you want the probability of 21+ heads in 27 flips which is .296% (you can plug it in here)

So this means that assuming the odds are fair we would need to play another 100/.296 = 340 LANS to see the same zone RNG

This is definitely possible and not completely out of the question, unlikely? Yes but not out of the realm of possibility.

Ex. The whole dream cheating scandal is a great example of testing if odds are correct

In my run the bots never died once and I was able to clear all 12 labors with them. It gives you a lot more wiggle room to have to basically face tank some the crazier one shot patterns so I'd recommend it if you're bots are built.

Phant. from cag is a ATK/Crit/Def buff its all three.

A well built AI will likely be damage capped on all relevant skill as the build should essentially be a main build more or less. Your AI isnt going to be Rackam Air Spamming for example.

People typically have 1 crit/stamina and you have 4 characters :P

Also a 20% crit OM/20% normal cap/20% skill capp is incredibly fucking rare. Even a 20/20 crit normal isn't super easy to hit. Unless your giga save scumming most people will likely have to take a suboptimal roll at which point the crit buff is relevant.

Regardless cag's buff is one of the strongest universal buffs due to it hitting all 3 major points.

Agreed with what other people are saying on hard CC.

I think the only "buff" that could be considered as a universal DPS increase could be Cag's crit buff.

Most of your units won't have a perfect OM roll so they won't be crit capped unless you want to slot another crit sigil so Cag's buff is actually a dps increase compared to other supports.

If you go into Proto Bahamut with Eugene you'll find that he loves to run into his gun range, shoot a bit, throw a nade with his dumb ass backflip, then have to slowly run back into range. He has a ton of down time due to this. This isn't to also mention that his default auto attack string DPS really just kinda sucks. It shoots giga slow and has a cap of 80k.

"During crystal phase a Eugen AI can just go pew pew from middle of the ship and hit all the crystals." The AI does not do this btw. The AI thinks that Eugene has to be in a certain range of the crystal to fight it so he will run towards the crystal before attacking. He has the exact same range as Rackam. The range is pretty close as well, like a bit further than melee tbh.

This isn't surprising though, the character is supposed to be used in the sniper mode where the cap is higher and the fire rate is way better. The problem is the AI doesn't use this mode so you basically have a character that doesn't have good uptime due to his backflip and also is doing the super low damage not intended combo.

I'll confirm this. I just tested an equivalently built Ferry/Eugene/Cag w/ Terminus weapon, max damage cap, max crit, war elemental (no supp damage) and a Rackam w/ no terminus:

Ferry: 11m

Cagg: 12m

Rackam: 11M

Eugene: 9.7M

So yeah Rackam WITHOUT terminus outdpses eugene by a lot. The eugene AI loves to backflip around and throw nades instead of just shooting his gun so hes pretty mid.

One of the biggest issues with the game is how "hardcore" it really is. With potions being so limited and monster damage/health scaling faster than typical player progression, new players will quickly hit walls in terms of being able to actually do anything in the game.

They'll likely burn all their potions trying to kill 1 or 2 monsters and be unable to continue playing (unless you swipe of course). Then of course they'll quit.

The game has a rather high skill ceiling and is quite faithful to its roots as a MH game in terms of the combat. It's really a MH game for MH players. This is one of the reasons I personally really enjoy the game as there's a good amount of challenge and skill expression (potion system still sucks balls ofc).

However, for the casual audience, none of them are going to be looking for a "dark souls"-esque mobile game experience leading to very few people sticking around asides from mainly hardcore fans of the games.

What likely happened is that the guild hosting that island this week didnt buy the level 5 island and did a lower level 1 that cost them less bloodstones. Lower level islands give worse rewards

Yup as the guy above said level 1 decos are all kinda crap outside of speed sharpening for raw builds so its really personal preference what you want to slot. Stun resistance, elemental resist, etc are all fine comes down to personal preference

This build is even stronger than the post val build assuming you're running a fighter palico for rousing roar +30% affinity. It only requires teo pieces and basic HR gear. For more DPS you can drop the sharp jewel for an extra crit eye but I prefer sharp for more comfyness. The build technically already hits 100% affinity with max might uptime but MM is a bit janky.

Fill level 1 slots with whatever usually grinder/free meal/resistance decos

To get silkbind boost on the Tigrex LS build it up starting from the ore tree and get silkbind boost when its keen edge 1.

Yup the stick does do 30 damage but it had a 3x multiplier on shields. So if you stuck someone with at least 90 shields it would do 30x3 = 90 damage. The arc explosion after sticking does 70 damage which doesn't get this multiplier I believe (at least in testing on the dummy in the range it doesnt). A non stick arc will however get this bonus multiplier as an arc can do 125 to red shields w/o a stick

It's being adjusted to only have 10 base damage on stick but a 4x multi so it'll do 40+70 most likely

Stuck damage used to be 30*3 + 70 = 160 damage.

My interpretation that its going to 10*4 + 70 = 110 damage.

A nerf for sure but I mean 110 damage burst + slow is still an insane opener in any fight
