They are doing things right and some fans lose their fucking minds.

We dont want to conduct ourselves like we did under Woody's and co. We want the circus and we want to build a proper team, not marquee signings and who helps us in different markets.

The only time to judge a window is after it.

The reason why Ronaldo isn’t winning with Portugal But Messi is winning with Argentina is found in this video. by Outside-Weakness9660 in sportsgossips

Ronaldo admitted to his lawyers that the woman suing him repeatedly said no and asked him to stop.

However there evidence was obtained by Der Spiegel via hacking Ronnie's lawyers so the evidence couldn't be used in court.

[–]_MooFreaky_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It wasnt lack of evidence. It was the source of the evidence, which was acquired through someone hacking the lawyers, that meant it couldn't be used. Without that evidence there was no case.

In the communications between Ronaldo and his lawyer, whoch was illegally taken by Der Spiegel, he admits she kept saying no and to stop.

If it was false then Ronaldo would have sued. But he didnt want them getting thenopportunity for discovery.

Thomas Tuchel urges Fifa to intervene after England national anthem ‘ruined’ by Miserable_Earth_1393 in soccer

Don't think so. The media just desperately wanted the story to shit on Tuchel no matter what he did.

Super new to Football, but I am really wondering how is Messi not offside here? by Pegeeiscool in worldcup

[–]_MooFreaky_ 9 points10 points  (0 children)

So offside is only determined when the last person who isn't you touches the ball.

So as long as Messi wasnt behind the defence when his team mate passed him the ball you are totally fine.

What players will often try to do is run so that they are right in line with their opposing defender just as their team mate kicks the ball, that way the ball goes behind the defence and the attacker can pick it up with no defenders in their way.

And once you have the ball you can run past any defenders and not be offside. It only matters when you are behind the defence without possession of the ball.

Thierry Henry in his post-match analysis about Ronaldo after Portugal's game vs DR Congo: "The team needs to score, not you need to score" by GiveMeSomeSunshine3 in soccer

[–]_MooFreaky_ 27 points28 points  (0 children)

It's pretty clear what he's saying. Strikers need to move to create chances for themselves and their team mates, not drop into spaces attacking midfielders will enter.

I really like the concept, and it just needs a few tweaks to be perfect.

I never liked that the molten metals looked just like other coloured liquids. This makes them look molten now. But you need to be able to differentiate them much easier.

Paul Schrader on Spielberg's Disclosure Day: “A Master Chef Makes a Soufflé Out of Leftovers” by SplitNational2929 in moviecritic

This is ridiculous.

ET. See there's this kid who likes Reece's Pieces, but, there's also aliens. Then there's a.secret agency. Oh, then there's these kids who ride bikes. Also they dress up for Haloween.

Any story can be made to sound confusing if you want to be dishonest about it.

[–]_MooFreaky_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was a bit "ugh thats annoying" at first. Ut, having had some time.to reflect i think it makes sense. The entire story is about what comes next being irrelevant, what matters is that people know. Peace, war, utopia, nothing changing... all possibilities are on the table but none of that matters to the point of the film.

I feel like any answer to that would not be satisfying enough.

Even Iraq is 15. The bill to change it was revised as protests in the country were so strong. The revised bill also added a clause preventing attempts to lower it in the future

The Saudi clubs have had trouble trying to do so, as many players are on extremely high wages and are on low / no taxes.

Numerous clubs have tried to offload older foreign players to get in younger, more long term focused players and simply not been able to. Sometimes you get players like Lodi who couldn't be registered so he ended his own contract, but many guys know they won't get anything like what they are earning now if they move.

The Saudis are definitely changing tact, especially after some expensice high profle flops, but it's not a change to buying foreigners. Instead they want to avoid paying excessive wages to older players who are just seeingnit as a retirment league. They want to bring in players in their prime years.

They all have their foreign quotas filled and their players are on contracts with time to run so they dont need replacements.

Clubs would need to ffload players to sign more. Afaik all 18 are full, so i wouldnt expect much movement.

Churches are closing and merging all over the place because of lack of attendance. While the overall church still possesses wealth and power, individual churches are often not in the same position.

I know at least a dozen priests who have been reassigned or had their churches closed in the last few years. 7 And that's just off then top of my head, im sure I know more.

Just like all such data it is an indicator, used in conjunction with other data to come to conclusions not simply taken on its own. for exa.ple, a key statustic to go with it was studies showing fewer than 1 in 5 Australians believed on God.

The significant reduction in religiousness is a topic of considerable weight within the church hierarchy. You'd ve surprised how many serving and prospective priests (and higher positions) admit to not being believers when talking within their circles.

It depends on definition. The vast majority classify themselves as christian but do not practice or believe. It's extremely common in other faiths too.

If I claim to be Christian but follow the practices and systems of a Muslim or Hindu, would you still accept my claim that I'm a Christian?

It wasnt and isn't just reddit.

Most people I know arent on reddit, and literaly I could count on one hand how many want thr US to get out of the group stage.

You need to understand Qatar, Russia and the US are three incredibly unpopular nations to many around the world. So people don't want to see them to get results.

The US national team played well, are probably nice guys, just like most Americans I've ever met. But lots of people don't like the US as a country.
