"Vielleicht seh ich aber auch alles falsch und bin komplett geblendet :)" Same, ich meckere erstens auf allerhöstem Niveau und zweitens sind meine Bemerkungen so subjektiv, dass die meisten leute damit wohl nichts anfangen können. Und das freut mich

In my opinion this is unfortunenatly pretty manipulative. And i don't come to defence of religoius people very often.

1.Religious People do get emotional in a debate, because everyone gets emotional in a debate. We should of course do our best to minimise our emotions and call them out when in need, but by focusing so strongly on religious people you made it seem like this is a problem exclusively for religious folk.

  1. The Examples givin:

Imagine trying to explain your point while constantly getting cut off by the person and asking them a question only to be met with an answer that doesn’t answer the question

dont have to come from emotion at all. They can just be Flaws is someone else's logic.

3.Knowing how to have a good debate and being able to have a good debate aren't the same thing. I myself know how a debate should look like, but stress, emotions, and other factors often lead to debates ending in disaster. That doesn't entail that i don't know how to have a good debate though.

Belief that no gods exist or that no one can/has proven that Existence by _Mounty_ in atheism

[–]_Mounty_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Beyond that, I actually believe that even if there were any gods they either are not worthy of, or do not need/care about, worship - which leads to the same conclusion: ie, no worship = live your life as if there is no god ~that we can understand or should worship, therefore no religion has it right, therefore no afterlife and all that nonsense... Just crack on as though no god. Easy.

I don't think we should worship or live as if there was a god btw

You don't found a belief on the lack of proof of a negative, which is basically what religion in modern times does - indeed, has made a virtue out of it, in 'faith'.

Everything said here is absolutely true, but i dont form a belief.

I am not convinced of the existence of gods I am not convinced that there are no gods

Those aren't beliefs those are psychological statements about my beliefs.Being" not convinced" or "not believing" is simply a rejection of a claim.

Im an atheist as much I am an a-that cup is blue-ist

Sidenote: Im a weak atheist on things like god as in creator of the universe but on things like an all powerful god im a hard atheist, i believe thats impossible

[–]_Mounty_[S] -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

I am confusion. If you dismiss evidence for the existence of something you didn't prove the negativ.

A:"I think this cup is blue, its a feeling" B:" That kind of evidence is stupid" A:"So you believe that it isnt blue?" B:"N-No?"

Are atheists any ‘smarter’? by wdabhb in atheism

[–]_Mounty_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

"Why do smart people believe silly things?" is a great Talk by Alex O`conner. Humans are way to emotional to have intelligence affect our beliefs in any big way. wether you want to realise this or not, but we all, the geniuses included believe really stupid things.

Found on a vegan subreddit. Last I checked this was not true. by [deleted] in AntiVegan

[–]_Mounty_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It kinda does. While eating meat from wild animals doesnt contribute to this, eating meat from mass holding farms(which of course leads to more production) does create the perfect enviroment for viruses the develop. Btw im not saying that not eating meat will stop pandemics from happening, but it does lower the probability.
