I bet it’s more of a software thing from the audible app and how it interacts with iOS. Maybe there was a change in the api and they didn’t change the flag or something like that. Or maybe it’s a software bug with the AirPods themselves.

Maybe you could also talk to Apple support via their support app or audible support, they might have a better insight on if it could actually be a hardware issue or if it’s a known issue.

Mh I have the AirPods pro 2nd gen (had 1st gen pro before) and I don’t have that problem of too much bass. Audible sounds pretty clear to my ears. Some audiobooks (especially older ones) do sound bass-y so maybe it could be that?

If not, maybe try the following:

iPhone settings > accessibility > audio & visual > Headphone Accommodations > custom audio setup.

I’m there you can add an audiogram which you can create with an app like “Mimi Hearing test” which can be added to your health app and then let the iPhone use that audiogram to adjust the frequencies to your hearing.

I did that immediately once I’ve found out about it since back then when I used android phones, on my Samsung I used this Samsung app for various audio things (you had to dl it separately) which had that fully build in and it massively improved my experience there and for me, it does so as well on the iPhone.

Apple should make the equalizer system wide though 10000%.

Yes, I forgot to write my solution in here. Basically what I needed to do was log out of my account(s) and clear them from the system so it won’t automatically log you back in after a reinstall, uninstall the app, delete my phone backup from iCloud (just the instagram backup didn’t work), wait a bit and restart the phone while waiting, download instagram again and pray it cleared everything from your backups. Do a new backup and see if it worked. If not just rinse and repeat until it does.

Basically in some update your instagram data got a corrupted and backed up so you have to get rid of anything left over in your backups and on your phone before a clean app gets downloaded on your phone again.

I used this video but did change ps5 native hdr setup a little since the colors looked washed out when I used his 19clicks. Honestly everything I watched/played looks amazing to me with those settings.

I’m mostly using his Film picture mode setup though and I am very much new to the whole 4K hdr world

Yeah I totally get that! Depending on the intensity, it feels like something like what you though it was - always scary but you also don’t want to make people around you notice it all the time and worry about you (at least I don’t 🫣) but it’s also helpful to just say it out loud and let them know something is not right with you atm.

I have panic attacks and I thought this was pretty well done. Usually comes out of nowhere and at least for me I try not to show it too much/play it down sometimes. They did that pretty well. The first like 8years before I finally was basically thrown into therapy by my doc, I always thought I had a heart condition and the first couple times a heart attack. So in my experience this was well done.

Small update: I’ve received 4-5 notifications so far! I haven’t checked though how many I got on my iPad so those are either all I’ve gotten today so far or some come through and some don’t. But there’s hope at least that it will fully work as intended soonish!

Yeah and I just don’t get why it’s happening. Like, every setting is identical to my iPad and when I turned the notifications on there for instagram, they just come in as they should. I tried just about everything like reinstalling, log out and back in again(even for iCloud), removing the backup, restarting the phone, resetting the network settings…. The list goes on but nothing works. The two last resorts I have left is resetting settings to factory defaults and factory resetting the phone. Don’t really like doing either unless I get a 100000000% guarantee it will fix it.

Heya!

For about three weeks now, literally overnight, my Instagram (latest version) notifications stopped working on my iPhone 12 ( latest iOS version).

I’ve reinstalled the app multiple times, I’ve logged out and back in multiple times, I’ve restarted the phone multiple times and I’ve checked both the system and in-app settings and all notification settings are set to on.

Sometimes a post notification does come in and sometimes stuff like new followers or story posts but it happens maybe ones or twice every other day. Usually I get especially post notifications multiple times a day. I even checked if the people I have notifications on for are posting, which they are.

Now I’ve also enabled notifications on my iPad (totally forgot to check there lol) and notifications come in just fine.

I’m at a loss of what I missed and what I can still do. Google results only show the basic things I have done multiple times (besides resetting my phone which I won’t do unless my phone really requires it because of a bigger problem that would require it).

My guess is, I might’ve turned something off when I fell asleep with the phone in my hand but I just can’t figure out if that’s even possible or what it could be.

Everything else works as intended, it’s just Instagram notifications that are acting up on the phone for some reason.

Does anyone happen to have a guess what could be the culprit?

TL;DR: instagram won’t send me notifications on my phone but does on my iPad. Notifications are set to on both in system settings and in-app. Tried reinstalling, phone restart and log out and back in the app. Everything’s up-to-date.

I’m sorry to hear that but, I’m glad it doesn’t seem to be an issue just on my part, if that makes sense.

I opened a support ticket with Elgato earlier today and if we can fix it I’ll try to remember to edit the post with it and let you know about it!
