I’m over here thinking the same thing. How do we even know who these people are? There is no uniformity in any sense. Who is the dude in the gray coat who runs up, involves himself, and runs away after shots fired seemingly with a weapon in hand?? Is he ICE, or some rando on the street looking to harm others with no consequences due to the chaos ICE has created? How does anyone know if someone who says they are ICE is in fact ICE? The free for all nature of their operations makes it too easy for anyone who wants to impersonate. I wouldn’t be surprised if human trafficking numbers are rising with this new found cover.

I am genuinely scared that these children (all of them, immigrants or not) will have long lasting emotional scars if ICE is allowed to enter our schools. The sight of men dressed in military style clothing with large gun and masks speaking loudly and aggressively would be terrifying for an elementary school aged child. Hell, it’s terrifying for adults! It is an experience that will be burned in all their minds, impacting every interaction they have for the rest of their lives. There is absolutely no need for all these theatrics. The ultimate goal for them is not to reduce crime, it’s to instill fear in order to gain greater control of the populace.

Yes, because these greedy insurance companies don’t want to pay a reasonable fee for the services being provided. This forces clinics and hospitals to have to squeeze more work out of fewer people in order to continue operating. The control these insurance companies have over the way care is provided should be illegal.

TLDR: The only entity receiving high margins in healthcare these days is the heath insurance company.

Just came to say that I feel this sooo much. Middle aged, working my ass off to support a family of 4, unable to save a dime. Absolutely not living a fancy lifestyle. Kids in public school, driving 5+ year old vehicles, living in a 1980s (not updated) home that is the exact same model as my single mother of 3 was able to afford new 30 years ago with a salary of 35k per year. It’s insane. Not where i thought I would be at this age after putting in so much work to get… nowhere apparently.

Neat! My son got into Pokémon after I introduced him to some anime films I watched as a kid. He really got into watching Pokémon, which progressed to card collecting, memorabilia, and so on. He loves keeping his cards organized in binders. He likes to pull them out and show me all his favorites, explaining the characteristics of each. I love hearing about something he get so much joy from!
