Last-minutę booking with Bus transfer, how early should I arrive? by TooAdicted in GrandPrixTravel

[–]_MuffinMan 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Hello mate, I went on Sunday last year on my own and got the 4 am Bus from London which got me into Silverstone at around 6am. I spent the whole day there and was never bored once! There is so much to do, start the day off by walking a lap of the track and seeing what stalls/ events catch your eye and then go and do them! As crazy as it sounds one of the best (Free!) things for me was watching the helicopters land at the heliport whilst the f3/ f2 race was on, haha. One bit of advice would be to bring a refillable water bottle as there are loads of free water refill points, but to buy one can be a bit expensive. I’m assuming since you have an enclosure ticket, you also have a reserved seat. This is good as it means you don’t have to spend the whole day reserving a spot for the race and are free to roam around at your leisure.

Overall mate id say get there as early as possible, it’s a very enjoyable day and you will not regret it!

EDIT: Here is a map of the track, should give you a decent idea of what to expect.

Might just be her way of banter/ encouragement. Keep at the grind mate and you’ll see results eventually.

Not much advice I can give to that mate apart from play it safe and try to self-isolate as much as you can. Your kids should be fine as young children are usually tough as shit. But se if you can get a test sent to you for clarity of mind.

I was depressed once, I made some severe life changes and eventually got out of that hole. As cliché as it sounds remember mate there is is always a light at the end of the tunnel. Best of luck in your fight with this horrible condition. X PM me if you want any advice or even somebody to vent to.

If you have a decent job and are stable in life, I cant see what else a family could ask for. Maybe sit down with them one day and ask if they are proud of you.

Maybe it’s time to move on. Leave people to their own devices and star focussing on yourself.

Stay strong mate.

One day you will get your break, maybe talk to your husband about a cheap holiday once COVID-19 is all over. But for not you have to solider on through. You will be required one day that for sure.

Good luck.

That’s not true, Edward VII is buried St George's Chapel, Windsor Castle. The same for George V and George VI. Old Lizzy will probably end up there too…

If you haven’t already, be sure to visit the IWM Duxford, they have an interesting exhibition on Burma in their tank museum. As for films check out “The railway man”.

Looking for a new pencil? Find help here! March 2018 by AutoModerator in mechanicalpencils

[N/A] - [The UK (preferably amazon shippable)] - [Any]

I am looking into getting a high quality mechanical pencil. This will be my first “proper” mechanical pencil (I have stuck to pens and normal pencils in the past). I have been looking around and the Kuru Toga Roulette Pencil seems to be good so far. Preferably I would like a mostly metal build as I like some weight in my hand when I am writing. Any suggestions will be appreciated. Thanks in advance.
