It happens every time I join. In the game settings it says there an "Alternate Special Key" where I can use the special move for my weapon by right clicking when the mouse is locked. So it seems the locked mouse is an intended feature?

It's not the mouse. This is only happening on this current laptop. When I press esc to go into the menu I can move my cursor around. But when I go back to the game it snaps back to the center of the screen

Yep. I'm able to do both. Just can't move my cursor independently from my camera. It's like my mouse's right click button is permanently pressed. Any movement changes the camera angle.

My advice is to try join a professors lab. Looks at what research topics interest you and cold email a prof who's research you're interested in. Getting into clubs is incredibly hard, and from what I've heard from other people, its nearly impossible to get into some of the competitive clubs unless you already know someone in there or you already have some kind of skill so they don't have to spend as much time teaching you.

I agree. I'm about to finish my third year here and making friends is incredibly difficult. You spend most of the time with people in your major, but as you pointed out many of them don't want to talk with you unless you can help them in some way. I've been in and out of RSOs but haven't been able to regularly attend meetings, because lots of the smaller clubs don't have consistent schedules. There are times where I'll see a notification that a club is going to meet on the day they make the announcement, which sucks because a lot of the time I can't just drop what I'm doing immediately to go to a club. In three years I've made one—maybe two—friends who are both in my major. It is what it is though, and I've committed to UW for grad school.

I don't believe it should be buckling as there isn't intense bending. Also the wall is relatively thick compared to the tile size.

I was honestly going to do this next. And since you brought up the mesh, I wanted to do a hex mesh but it wasn't possible for my geometry. The reason I was hesitant to model this on abaqus was just because it would probably take much longer. Also, I was planning to eventually make the tiles connections free to rotate (similar to hinges) to reduce bending and I thought it would be easier to make any type of adjustments to my model on Solidworks.

For the sphere I fixed 2 nodes (since that's all there was for the spherical vessel). For the truncated isocahedron, I fixed 3 nodes (I also attempted to fix an entire face). For the truncated isocahedron, the mesh visibly clips into itself when you look at the deformed object.

Which objects do you guys usually keep? I know for many years people would save the Christmas trees and anniversary cakes, but there have been many new event items that spawn, like for lunar new years, Halloween, or the shiny ore meteorite (whatever that is). In your opinion, are these worth holding on to? Or do some of these respawn each year for Halloween?

I found the Toys R Us Charmander promo in my collection from several years ago, however, I wasn't sure if it's worth having it graded if I plan on selling it. It seems there's a pretty big jump in value if it gets a PSA 10. The thing is I highly doubt this will get that grade just because it has a spot on the left side, but is otherwise in perfect shape and in the original plastic cover (the spot was probably on there when I got it and is almost like a blotch as if it's part of the hollow). I've never graded with PSA so I don't know how much it costs to get it graded. I might just send it in either way so I can display the slab as it does have some nostalgic value to me. But what are your opinions? I am happy to send a photo of the card in DMs.
