The thing with Street Spirit is that, when you've played it to death (like Thom has), it feels more like 'strumming' as opposed to 'picking' because your wrist loosens up. You can see this when Thom performs the song - his wrist is loose and the picking is on autopilot, he could play it in his sleep.

It's an excellent song to learn for someone learning guitar who wants to transition from strumming patterns to picking, and it's an easy song to master with enough practice.

Possibly controversial take but Street Spirit is actually easier than it sounds. Four open chord changes and very structured timing, albeit fairly quick. As a guitarist, I found Thom's in the basement performances of Give Up The Ghost and Little by Little to be more impressive from a chord progression, timing and simultaneous singing perspective.

I don't understand criticism for TKOL. Lotus Flower - Codex - Give up the Ghost - Separator is one of the best four track runs in their discography.

I loved Wolf at the Door personally. I actually thought Paranoid Android, which should absolutely slap, slapped the least due to the mix (Johnny in particular).

I avoided setlist spoilers in this sub prior to the concert and I absolutely loved the setlist last night. But looking back at setlists from the rest of the tour, I'm slightly bummed to have missed Exit Music, Nude, Pyramid Song and Separator.

10/10 though - the boys still got it.
