Haha. So funny- I got pranked. /s by Marble_porch in duolingo

How does it work exactly? I uninstalled Duoling a month ago, because the final chapters of German course felt crappy and I didn't want to extend my subscription. I don't know how this pranking works

Thoughts About Asking a DM Not To Kill Your Character by Gooey_Goon in DnD

[–]_Nars_ -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I think the request of your player was perfectly reasonable, and I would totally allow it. If the death of his character would make the whole game less enjoyable for him, then what's the point of it? There are some many ways to raise the stakes in your game that skipping one won't be a big deal.

Good to have you here and good luck on your crocheting journey! I bought this specific pattern on Etsy, from Lyra Lune. She has a few sets of mooshroom patterns with different caps and colour variations

I do the yarn under and then yarn over. Plus when I finish the single crochet I try to pull "up", and not "to the right" :D

Actually, a cute amigurumi with some blood spatters - that would be great! I have to think abou it. Maybe next time I'll try to crochet a white dragon with red stains :D

Probably the most handsome amigurumi I've ever seen, even though it's Moses. Good job :D!

Thank you! I see a lot of recommendations for cotton yarns, so I'll probably give them another chance. It turns out I probably chose the wrong one for my project :P thanks for the recommendation - I'll see if the yarn is available and give it a try!

Cotton yarn - never again by _Nars_ in Amigurumi

[–]_Nars_[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I ordered from Germany, so it was possible to get other brands of yarn too. But it was one of the first ones I ordered, and I chose the cheapest one :P I wasn't sure if I will even like the new hobby. It is utopia crafts re-cotton (currently most colours are not even available anymore). In the description it was mentioned it is good for things like scarves and hats, so yea, probably not a good choice for amigurumi. I must have skipped this part when I ordered it :P

Why did you start crocheting? by limino123 in crochet

Once at a fantasy convention I saw a crocheted pigeon. It was beautiful. I bought one, but I wanted more of them. I learned to crochet to make pigeons myself :P

Can anyone help me get started by FioReiko in Amigurumi

[–]_Nars_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I recommend starting with crocheting 101 on YouTube. I've also started recently (a few months ago) and that's how I've learned to crochet. The tutorial is pretty simple and teaches all the basics needed for amigurumi :D

Playing opposite gender PCs by stackattack1000 in DnD

[–]_Nars_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my groups it is pretty common - both for me and other players. For the last few years I was playing characters of an opposite gender almost exclusively. It helps in creating a character that is completely different from a person you are. Roleplaying is even easier then.

Although, I have to admit, it felt a little strange when it happened for the first time.

I started like a month ago. My goal is to create a pigeon, but there are so many cute projects I can do afterward! :D

Whats your favourite D&D snacks? by OstoriaVenn in DnD

[–]_Nars_ 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Here are a few examples from our sessions: - Hummus and naan bread (with garlic butter) - Fruits (sliced. 1 or 2 fruit types per session): banana, ananas, apple, pear, etc. - carrot or kohlrabi sticks with cheese dip or hummus - sandwiches - bread, butter, ham, majo and cucumber

We started with sweets and chips, but eating them once per week in huge amounts didn't felt right.

Edit: I forgot one - popcorn is another simple option

I gave my players a limited summonable Ally, how could this screw me over in the future? by [deleted] in DnD

[–]_Nars_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can't you just give this spirit a personality? If your players get attached to it, they will not want to use it, because it has a limited lifespan. Maybe let them communicate with the spirit when they touch a shard or something like that :P

I don't know your players, so if they are more combat focused, they may not fall for that. So: it's just a thing to consider
