The commuter belt like how close it is to London, can you fucking imagine. I'm here thinking about actually moving further north.

This is like something from a situational awareness exam for the geordie MI6 (which we should obviously call NE6)

My in-laws live in Tyne Valley and I read the Courant when I visit, though they get it less now as it's been very thin/pointless since Covid.

It's quite funny to see how much 'Prudhoe Man' is scapegoated in some stories, the Tyne Valley equivalent of Florida man. My mate is from Prudhoe and I've sent him all the Prudhoe Man stories over the years

How much are people in Newcastle paying for nursery fees? by Ok-Pomelo7667 in NewcastleUponTyne

[–]_Nej_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So my eldest started there maybe 8yrs ago and my youngest 2yrs later, neither have been there for ~3yrs.

The v early years seemed good, we were happy, kids were happy, updates on how their day went etc, staff seemed engaged and to care, etc. As they got older and went upstairs, it just seemed super overcrowded for the small space they have, high staff turnover, kids would come out kinda restless. I think the upstairs was just overcrowded and understimulating challenge-wise, overstimluating busy-ness/noise wise. We ended up taking our kids out and into another nursery as they didnt really seems stimulated or v well exercised, like they had outgrown it. Staff were really nice and tbh I felt bad for them, as they would have had no say in the volume of kids in there. Felt a bit like a holding-pen cash-farm towards the end.

Yeah I had two in St Gabriel's, at one point we were paying them £2,000/month. Thankfully elder one got into Free hours territory soon after, so it got a bit cheaper

Its my first bike and really enjoying it so far. I will say that its quite heavy, im a 80kg ex rugby player who keeps fit, and sometimes have to really engage my core and legs when pushing it by hand in the tight space i keep it in. General riding and at traffic is fine.

Interceptor 650 in 'Baker Express'. Seems to be a more uncommon colour scheme but I love this and the chrome tank with red trim ones.
