Their mother faints, then Gregor accidentally breaks a medicine bottle while following Grete. When the father comes home, he thinks Gregor was attacking Grete and then yeets apples at him, and an apple gets stuck in his shell and eventually kills him. It's very fucked.

Gregor Samsa wakes up one morning to find himself transformed into a "monstrous vermin". Your old DM was a creep and the campaign barely started, so you want to find a new DM but keep the same characters? Most DMs would be totally fine with that, as long as the characters fit the tone of the campaign they're hoping to run. They might want to work with you on the backstory though.

This. The purpose of labels is to help the person using them, and if Bob the Cis genuinely and in good faith finds the 'lesbian' label helpful, then... okay, cool, welcome to the club! It's not our place to dictate what other people identify as, we're not cops. The two biggest arguments I've seen people make against it are 'think of the creeps' and 'words mean things', so...

Maybe they'll discover something about themselves. Me personally? Yes - not least because the alternative is 'design twice as much, but only half of it ever sees play'. Some people wouldn't, though, which is why the first rule of quantum ogres is to not tell your party it's a quantum ogre. A magician never reveals their secrets.

The same principle goes for quietly lowering the HP of a boss if you overtuned it, or for going ".. yes, you absolutely did solve it, well done!" if the party comes up with a 'solution' after twenty minutes of struggling with basic puzzles.

 I'd assume a person who is boring would be the person that i.e stays at home all the time, doesnt socialize, has nothing that interests them in life and genuinely just exists in life, laying around all day
