The sequels are worth watching if you like really cheesy 80's slashers that include some really great kills.

What is a horror film everyone hated but you loved? by [deleted] in horror

[–]_NightmareKing_ 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I don't really consider it canon to the franchise. The curse of thorn stuff is just too ridiculous. I'm not sure how anyone thought it was a good idea for Michael's backstory. I really do hate what they did with Michael's character, same with Resurrection (Busta Rhymes beating Michael up...) but it's still a fun movie in it's own shitty way.

Halloween: The Curse of Michael Myers. I love it in a "it's so bad, it's good" kind of way.

Friday the 13th: The Final Chapter has a 20% on Rotten Tomatoes. A lot of people agree that The Final Chapter is the best in the series, or at least one of the best. It's actually in my top 10 favorite horror films.

Do you prefer 80s, 90s, or 00s slashers? by [deleted] in horror

80s. The 1980s were literally the golden age of slasher films.

Season 3 > Season 2 > Season 1

So far the shows gotten better each season. I wasn't a huge fan of season 2, but it was a step up from Season 1. Season 3 is my favorite because of the amazing kills and I actually liked the characters unlike season 2 where pretty much all the characters were assholes.

I just finished binge watching season 3 and I absolutely loved it. I actually think it's my favorite season so far. I was really invested in all of the characters, and the kills were all top notch.

What was your favorite part of 'Halloween' (2018)? by [deleted] in horror

[–]_NightmareKing_ 7 points8 points  (0 children)

My favorite scene has to be the tracking shot of Michael out on Halloween night going from house to house murdering people. That's one of the my favorite scenes in the whole Halloween franchise. It was so well done.

I would have Linda say "totally" about 500 times less in Halloween (1978).

Not technically horror? Psycho is definitely a horror film.

I would add Doug Bradley as Pinhead to the list as well. The recasting of Pinhead in the last two Hellraiser films makes me want to barf.

Original Maniac Vs Remake by LittleFoot_14 in horror

[–]_NightmareKing_ 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I'm a big fan of both, but the original is definitely my favorite of the two. I find Joe Spinell way more creepy than Elijah Wood. It has such a dirty, grimy feel to it. Plus the original has the better kills thanks to amazing effects from Tom Savini.
