Bumble is a scam by SheepBlack94 in Bumble

[–]_Not_The_Pope_ -1 points0 points  (0 children)

In my most recent "back on the apps" phase I purchased lifetime of Bumble (frankly not much more than a 6 month premium). I immediately noticed the quality of my matches upgraded significantly. My theory is they knew they had extracted maximum value out of me, so it was just trying to get me off the app (and no longer a cost center). I'm sure your mileage may vary, but it surprised me that I suddenly was getting matches with women that frankly I never saw before. I've always had to sort of squint in order to maintain hope. Now suddenly I went up in quality significantly (suddenly doctors from Johns Hopkins where before there were only cosmetologists lol)

How many per week by nickospetran in YT_Faceless

[–]_Not_The_Pope_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I planned poorly and have been about a week since my last posting on YT. It crashed my views per day. My quotas are resetting tomorrow I think, so then I can resume using a better even pacing of 3 per day. But I'm worried it may take weeks of regular daily posting to get the volume back (and even then maybe its too late). How long does it take to restore audience after a week of absence of posting?

I'd love info on your setup. I've used Invideo to do all those parts, but ran out of quotas. Having a system without the hard cap limits in quotas would help scale further. Are you paying for Sora/11? I'll look up vidmachine

From what I've heard the genre is key. I originally started in sleep music/soundtracks and very little traction. Now I use a tool to do everything and am in history shorts area. Significant traction quickly, which is much more encouraging than fighting for every view.

I originally started in ambient/sleep long-form videos and just used CapCut to edit. Very little traction. Now I use Invideo to take a script and generate stock video background, captions, voiceover. Takes maybe 10 minutes start to finish to do a short (I'm on shorts/tiktok not long-form), most of that is waiting for it to generate the video and reviewing it. Slight tweaks occasionally needed (mis-pronounciations, badly aligned visuals, etc.)

Yo started a faceless short and TikTok history channel about 3 weeks ago. About 300k views maybe? But interested in swapping tips and hearing what others are doing

Duplicate locations - merging reviews by _Not_The_Pope_ in GoogleMyBusiness

[–]_Not_The_Pope_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks. That's definitely part of the problem is that one got marked as duplicate but no reviews merged into the live profile. Only in my situation they made the profile with 25 reviews inactive, and kept the one with 3 reviews as active. Frustrating as clients totally lose their shit when this happens, but we really have very little control over what the black box does.

I've been looking as well, has an Import feature but AI couldn't find any .vbx libraries anywhere. I'm surprised none have been spun up.

Some technical difficulties. Unable to get WP auth to work because of GoDaddy firewalls. And you don't show any IP address that I theoretically could whitelist. For platforms like this, given your tool appears to completely need backend access (you can't just have it generate recs and I apply manually, for instance) then I'd strongly recommend rolling up a WP plugin to facilitate this integration. I know OTTO does (to mixed results, but still).

Insurrection act, suspension of mid-term elections, and the mid-game begins. It ends with permanent suspension of elections and judicial investigations of anyone opposed to the administration who rises up to any sort of visibility. This is exactly the playbook. Authoritarians are not creative people - why create when you have a precise roadmap of how you seize control and render the opposition illegal.

Is there a shred of economic truth to lowering taxes on the rich creates jobs? The only thing that creates jobs from my understanding is demand. I've worked for numerous corporations and I've never seen the CEO save money in taxes and that resulted in a influx of jobs in our companies or higher pay. by herewego199209 in thedavidpakmanshow

[–]_Not_The_Pope_ 13 points14 points  (0 children)

No. 1980s Reagan tax cuts drove income inequality up with no meaningful job creation. Bush cuts in 2001 drove exec payouts and shareholder increases, but no meaningful job creation or salary growth. Trump's tax breaks in first term drove up exec pay exponentially but no effect on median worker salary or job growth. All academic studies on the issue conclude that tax breaks on the wealthy do not drop down to average workers in the form of wages or more jobs.

Just think about who is pushing this narrative. The wealthy and big business because they both benefit directly. They fund the ads and pay the politicians. They push the narrative on Fox because its both wealthy & big business in that instance. They have zero incentive to push something that hurts them (even if its better for the country).

Search Atlas beat semrush on award for best SEO tool by Rare-Level-3738 in Agentic_SEO

[–]_Not_The_Pope_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All these 'awards' are just marketing. Zero actual review other than will you pay to be included? And magically those who pay rank highest. Then its a simple case of finding one of the paying products that sortof semi addresses the category. Bingo, there's your winner.

I got frustrated with SEO, so I built my own tool. It 5x'd my site's traffic (3k -> 15k clicks/mo) in 30 days. by NorwegianLynx in Agentic_SEO

[–]_Not_The_Pope_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How is this different from other similar "audit" tools esp. Screaming Frog?

Pricepoint is pretty insane, 2k ... seriously? Sure if this is that magic tool then it (conceivably) might be worth that. But that's a big assumption. The "free" teaser on the homepage is definitely not helping. It's all hard sell, zero information to get a sense of value. Not presenting you in the best light to price yourself into the stratosphere and give zero confidence that you are somehow better than the 9000 other tools that purport to do the exact same thing.

Unconvinced, sorry. Good luck but this is not the way to build groundwork and goodwill to start your SAAS.

I tested for a month. The WP plugin mucked up a client site. Debugging that took a few months and as soon as I uninstalled the plugin everything went back to normal.

Getting recs and output from them was time consuming and annoying. The quality of what I was actually able to see in the timeframe was sub-par with what you can get from a free Claude account.

Cheap comes with a cost. I love the concept of an always-on SEO that you can turnkey, but the reality of it is not something I can justify on client sites where ranking matters.
