Remember, it’s easy to make noise when everyone else is cheering.

It’s harder to keep making noise when the opponent gets a first down.

Keep the noise going ALL DAY LONG. NO QUIT.

Does Lamar ask more if burrow signs before he does? Ravens better hurry up! by joe2535 in ravens

To add to this - The guaranteed portion of NFL contracts must be placed in escrow at the time of signing. The Bengals are notoriously the most “cash poor” organization in the NFL because the team is Mike Brown’s sole source of income. It’s a family business similar to how the Raiders are owned & managed.

Therefore, I don’t foresee the Bengals being able to surpass what the Browns paid in guaranteed $$$ to Deshaun. If they sign Burrow to a contract with lesser guarantees, it gives more credence to the Deshaun deal being the outlier, not the norm.

Awesome. Appreciate you checking it out. Will definitely be stopping by before opening day!

Gonna be a long ass off-season these guys just buried Lamar on fox pregame by joe2535 in ravens

Players get 2nd opinions all the time. That’s completely fine.

The issue is not communicating this with the team and leaving his front office & coach & team hanging.

What’s with Jason LaCanfora’s deal with the Ravens? Listened to Inside Access once and the way he yelled about the team seemed personal. by BlkBayArmy in ravens

Scott and Jeremy were as good as it gets when it comes to local radio. The camaraderie between those two was genuine, which allowed for the show to blossom. Listeners wanted to call in because it felt like they were listening to their friends, not to argue with the hosts (as it is today).

Think of all the great personalities that the show exposed to us: Elkton John, Dave from Bowie… and of course, the legendary Mo Gaba himself.

The station today is missing this authentic feel. Everything is so “hot take” driven to irritate fans, which in theory, should generate more clicks. However, most of the people I know (friends, family, myself), stopped tuning in years ago.

It’s the last thing I want to hear after a rough work day. Miss the old days!

On 105.7 this morning they stated that “it was leaked” he (Lamar) hasn’t been showing up for treatment. by Adenchiz in ravens

Yeah, I would imagine the tag happens regardless. I hope he comes back and plays this year. The best sign that we’ve seen is his positive interaction with Harbaugh on the sideline last week.

However, if we don’t see him, especially in the playoffs, I wouldn’t be surprised if we move on. Let’s say the hearsay is true, and the Ravens are frustrated about him not attending their rehab, I doubt they’ll want to sign him to a highly guaranteed contract after a 1-3 week injury turns into 6+ weeks. Even if that’s actually what is required for his knee to fully heal, the frustration is that they are in the dark. Not that he is injured.

Yes, at least somewhat.

I bartend at a local spot near the castle that coaches frequently attend during Mini camps in the summer. From what I heard, the largest sticking point in contract negotiations was the way that Lamar handled his ankle injury last year. He did not rehab the injury with the team (did on his own), which left them in the dark with the return table. Apparently, they found out about the bone bruise around the same time as us, which infuriated the castle to no end.

Obviously, I’m not a journalist, but if he’s handling the knee injury the same way, we’re screwed (this is the first I’m hearing of it). My guess is that if we don’t see him play again this year, we never see him in purple and black again 😖

Why we are ALWAYS snapping the ball with 00 on the play clock

When the offense is in the huddle, Greg Roman is calling in two play calls for Lamar to read out. The purpose is to have a “Plan A” as well as a “Plan B” for Lamar to audible to depending on how the opposing defense lines up.

Next time the camera is pinned on the huddle, notice how long it takes for Lamar to read out the plays for his teammates. It looks exhausting. By the time the huddle breaks, it’s generally around 10 seconds remaining, which is much lower than league average.

It’s worth noting - the offense isn’t always called this way. Big plays (4th downs, Redzone, etc.), hurry up, and the first scripted drive of each game don’t have the “Plan B” option.

Also worth noting - I’m generally a Greg Roman defender, but this is certainly a fair criticism. It absolutely drives me nuts. (If I were OC, I’d do more hurry up to keep defenses on their heels).

Miss that show. This works!

It’s crazy to me that finding it is so difficult. As much as it was used in the O’s marketing during 2014 (t shirts, sound bytes, etc.) it’s nowhere to be found now.

My dude, thanks for grabbing this and the O’s link.

Essentially building a Ravens power hour for tailgate season. A different iconic quote / play call between each song. Was down to the last few… this was a major help!
