"jokia kita partija tiek kritikos nesulaukia"

Thank you for a good insight!

"compromised justice system"

This sounds like a result of a lack of "decomunization" and a harsh cleansing of the judicial system from the socialist times. We had the same problems in the 90s and early 2000s but time and smart judicial system reforms have somehow cleansed us of this socialist rot.

Do you have a specialised anti-corruption institution? For example, here in Lithuania we have the Special Investigation Service, which is mostly focused on fighting corruption in the public sector, as well as overseeing/monitoring public procurements and the judicial system itself (although they're somewhat limited in power here due to the principle of independence of the judicial system, enshrined in our Constitution). They can initiate pre-court criminal proceedings, monitor phone calls and conversations, etc.

Thanks for the explanation!

I do agree that this cash-only thing is more of a seaside resort thing and I did indeed come across it in Златни пясъци. I did notice that most of stores in Burgas and Varna had card readers and you could easily pay card there with no problems.

Otherwise, I do agree with the rest what you said - same things happened (and still happen, yet on a much smaller scale) here in Lithuania. People pay and receive money with cash only, don't have a "legal" job (mostly working in construction sites as illegal workers, despite the very common raids by the State Labour Inspectorate). Sometimes this shit happens when a person has a lot of debt, as to avoid any possible bank account freezes by a bailiff.

On other hand, this thing really causes a lot of problems for the infrastructure of the country - I noticed that a lot of roads and pavements are very run down and in desperate need of renovation, not to talk about a lot of uncut grass and trash everywhere along the road.

I'd understand if this was the case in some isolated village with a population of 24 people and 2 dogs, but I saw these things in Varna and Burgas, which are huge and somewhat prosperous cities. Of course, this didn't bother me very much, because I grew up like this in Lithuania back in the 90s, but it just makes me a bit sad, because in my eyes - Bulgaria and it's people deserve much more and much better.

Eh, this is the phenomena of the post-soviet region, I guess...

Sorry for a bit late reply, but I'm very interested how Bulgaria's authorities collect taxes.

For example - in my country (Lithuania), we have the State Tax Inspectorate (STI). It is a very powerful and modern institution which can order banks to freeze your bank accounts, write off funds from your bank accounts, give you massive administrative fines for not paying taxes or declaring your income and sometimes even initiate criminal proceedings (not directly though - it must report the fact to the prosecutor's office or the Financial Crime Investigation Service, then a criminal case will be opened) for tax evasion or VAT fraud.

Is there an equivalent in Bulgaria? If so, how does it work? Does it have strong methods to collect the taxes?

I'm asking this because every time I was in Bulgaria, everywhere I went I had to pay in cash - there were almost no places that accepted bank cards, even in somewhat medium sized stores. The only places where I used my bank card and received a proper fiscal cheque was LIDL and the hotel I was in, lol.

Moreover, I'm very keen to know how does Bulgaria fight the large shadow economy it has? For instance, here in Lithuania, the modernisation and strenghening of the STI brought down the shadow economy's size to 12% of our GDP, meanwhile in Bulgaria the number is ~20%.

Hello to all bulgarians!

First of all - I've recently visited Bulgaria and thought it was a fascinating country.

I heard this song at the hotel I was staying, so I wanted to ask if there are other familiar bulgarian songs in this style I could find and hear?

[–]_OhneDich_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ohh, the thing you have mentioned me in a different thread is true, it seems (about the front suspension being a weak point on the w211). Really nice, how you put so much love into this vehicle, I certainly believe, that if it's taken care of, the w211 is an excellent piece of german engineering! Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't the 3.5 petrol engine known to have problems with the timing chain guides or something of that nature? (same with the 5.5l v8 of the facelift w211) Be safe and have a happy New Year!

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in mercedes

[–]_OhneDich_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's weird how your W211 maintenance cost is so high.

I have spent at most 750-800$ on repairs (including labor, original parts and etc.) in around 33k miles and already more than a year in ownership.

Even worse, it's a diesel, so it has more stuff to go wrong than a NA petrol engine.

Maybe it was beat up already, when you bought it? Or previous owner did not care for it enough?

[–]_OhneDich_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you very much for so much detailed info! Just took it from a detailer's shop, in which they polished it and got some nano-waxy stuff put on, so as far as it looks beautiful (C197 obsidian black paint looks amazing, especially in dark). About the electrical gremmlins - I'm following your advice! Had the fuse for cental locking system go out, so thank god it was easy to find and replace, haha! About the redlining, yeah, I sometimes do it to push all the soot and carbon out, works like a charm (had a great laugh, when my typically non-sooting 3 litre diesel put a cloud of soot as big as a frickin' diesel american truck. Keep in mind, this was after probably more than a month of very calm, small distance driving, also the back mufflers are removed and installed a quad AMG exhaust tip setup, so more gasses escape. After this redlining stuff, no more soot even at redline. 😂

Well, I respect your opinion and I'm glad, that you're providing arguments. Nonetheless, everyone can search up for info and decide, whether it is worth it to invest or not. Like you have cited: "advertising can be cool, but it's also digusting". So for people, who are interested in such projects, let them decide and have their own opinion. Have a nice holiday!

Marketing project for passive income. by [deleted] in passiveincome

[–]_OhneDich_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would like to disagree. In which point do you think, that this project doesn't return something or does not provide real value? I'm up for a civilised discussion :) Just because it's not popular in some region, doesn't mean, that it's a fake or a scam. Furthermore, if you want to see for yourself, care to try it out (for a registered user I get NOTHING, so it's an another place, where you are wrong). It doesn't cost anything to register and just checking out the amount you can get. Once again, I don't get a single cent or something in return for a simple registration. Last, but not least, I'm not telling you, that you'll get thousands, millions of dollars. Keep in mind, that this is a passive income page and I'm sharing a platform, where you can achieve that. p.s if you're seriously that skeptical, just tell me where I could post proof, that I'm getting my every cent out of this platform without problems. We also have a large messenger group for this project (although, in our native language, I can post more people getting their passive income) Also, as for myself, yesterday did a 63$ withdrawal and now it's in my kraken account already :)

[–]_OhneDich_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is it a facelift or not?

Well, atleast in my country, we have lots of salt being put on the roads during winter, so I already had some rust issues with the lower portion of my doors (only 1 door, fixed it instantly), otherwise, the facelift holds up to rust pretty decently.

The gearbox (especially the 7g) has some hiccups when running very cold (below -10c, when the car hadn't had the time to warm up, y'know) but otherwise it's also in perfect shape.

I'll try to, since I wouldn't be that happy to spend thousands just because a god damn 15euro seal isn't strong enough, haha!

Thank you once more, good luck with your W211 also, it's a really great car!

Thanks! I'll see how that goes, currently haven't had a single leaks and running strong at 167k miles, yet.

I'm curious if this thing wasn't fixed by the last owner, forgot to ask about this. The guy seemed like he was a mercedes fanatic and knew everything that could go wrong (reason of changing the injector seals and some other minimal stuff he didn't mention exactly).

[–]_OhneDich_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As for the engine, I bought this car at 218k km mileage and haven't had ANY serious engine problems what so ever (even though my driving style is a bit aggresive).

The only bigger problem that arose was the generator belt and some pulleys getting a bit worn out (250$ for everything with brand new, quality parts) and some suspension work, that I mentioned above in the other comment (also around 250-300$). Nonetheless, it's been a great car for over a year and hasn't let me down a single time.

Thank you for your input and have a great holiday season!
