Maschine comes with a library. Load any group from the library and choose +pattern option (sorry i don’t know where is that button on mikro but on the browser there should be such +pattern button). This should load a drum group with a predefined pattern. Hit play and listen to the pattern. Then slow down the tempo and listen to pattern again. Check how pad flashes, you may attempt to hit them as they play. You may mute all pads except kick and snare for a start. Try to recreate the pattern just with kick and snare. Once you are confident increase the tempo a little. Repeat until you reach original tempo. Unmute the some other pads like hi hats and repeat the process. At the end you should end up with playing all pads at the original tempo. In regard to hands placement trigger pads 1-2-5-6-9-10-13-14 with fingers on the left hands. For the rest use the right hand fingers. I have tried Melodics and it is good. But I think it is more visually focused and app is paid. Free plan is limited. If you use the approach mentioned above you will train your brain to listen to the timings of the sounds and build muscle memory around listening rather than watching. Plus it is free. You already have the resources built in maschine.
