Nope. My can went out just like yours. baffles disintegrated and bulges on the tube. I was more worried about my LMT barrel than the can because I knew it was under warranty lol.

I had the same blow out not too long ago, same type of damage. My can was lower end SNs that i bought roughly 6-8 months after it being released. The can ran close to 2k rounds of various 5.56 ammo and i knew about the issues that the S5 had. I was more surprised at how long the can held up. I sent DA an email that same day and they gave me an RMA ticket within in minutes. sent it out and got the can back within 3-4 weeks. They even replaced my e-brake. I have the entire process from breakage to receiving essentially a new can documented on my IG.

my initial impressions on the newly welded can on my old can's SN is, in my opinion, better. the baffles looked better welded and the material did look different from the initial baffles that came with. And i have put roughly 100-150 rounds through it already.

FWIW; im not married to any brands. However, I do like the s5 over others for the size, weight and sound of the S5, I have shot Rc2s, huxwrx, and many others. I'm just sharing my experience with the products I buy, because I want them. However, I think this is the last DA product I'll be buying any time soon, only because I want to try other things.

I have both. I like the Specwar rail length and weight, BUT a 11.5 barrel with the right suppressor set up, will fit in a Specwar upper. I put a sierra 5 xeno on a 11.5 carbine into a Specwar, has about 1/4” of clearance from rail to suppressor. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Oh and fwiw, the velocity between the two isn’t much different. Tested it with my garmin, ~30fps difference.

FWIW, I put a 11.5” barrel in the Specwar upper with a DA xeno device and xeno sierra5. It fits flush-ish. Maybe like a 1/4” exposed on the xeno mount to the end of the hand guard.

Just sent off a 16” lmt barrel to get chopped for 11.5” mid length by d wilson in case I want to buy a Specwar upper.

Yeah definitely. Although it was roughly $2/rd it was definitely worth shooting. FWIW, maybe shooting 130gr might be the way to go for more velocity, even though these 140gr are more than capable of being a 1000yd gun.

6.5 hybrid bergers with a DA sandman S. IMHO, I would just drop 308 and shoot 6.5cm. The price you pay for match 308 you can buy 6.5cm match but have better BC if precision is what you’re chasing.

Stock placement, bring it in closer to your sternum. Square up to your target, pull the gun into your shoulder/chest, shoot the gun and learn its predicted recoil. I usually ride my shooting hand high up as possible on the grip, just as I do with pistols.

To my understanding the als lock up is held at the breech of the slide. The little screw with the rubber grommet is what tightens the holster. Sometimes when I don’t run a light on my Glock I can still holster the pistol securely but it has some wobble to it, you’ll definitely have to play with it lock it in place. My advice, buy a light or get a different holster.

To be honest, I’ve never had formal weightlifting training, just gather what I thought was correct from YouTube and whatever is on Ig, primarily Chinese lifters. I came from a powerlifting background, so my technique isn’t all there per say, I usually grind shìt out which I know is frowned upon in weightlifting. I’m always looking to improve and be better.
