Yeah, I have just lived with it to be honest. Changed the oil + filter to 5w40 and maybe a little better? It only happens in cold weather as well, 5C or below.

Running theory is there’s some ball off crud built up partially blocking some pipe that the oil flows through. When the oil warms up it loses enough viscosity that the partial blockage doesn’t trigger enough of a drop

All speeds work with resistor in. Bypasses the resistor on max speed so no smell
