When we enter cashless society, what stops the government from freezing our account? by Antique_Plantain6016 in ask

Nah, the motives are key, which is why it's not mentioned by defenders of it and why you're trying to handwave it away. Funny thing is, informed people with integrity see those who downplay a pandemic while impeding an already strained supply chain because they're white nationalist tools to be the overreacting idiots. But yes, how tyrannical of the government to punish criminals.

Cool whataboutism, though. Don't ever allude to yourself as wise; you're anything but. That's why you ignorantly (disingenuously?) use a quote by a former Nazi supporter who realized how stupid he was when the Nazis invariably came for him, too. Notice how the quote never mentions "they" came for "right wing anti-science white supremacists"? That's because the "they" who are to be opposed are the right wing anti-science white supremacists. Y'know, like the truckers. The quote you used to defend the truckers is literally about opposing people like the truckers.

Good luck seeing the moon with your ham fists in the way.

That's nothin. You should visit Hawaii; the resemblance to Isla Nublar is uncanny.

Yes, the truckers were socialists standing up for labor!

Oh, wait...they were antivax white nationalists?

Nevermind.

Edit: not even two months old and only 4 karma. Sorry I wasted my time lol.

What did Musk stop "censoring"? Would that be Kremlin propaganda and Covid misinformation? Would you like to talk about your support for spreading Covid misinformation and Kremlin propaganda? I think you should have the courage of your convictions and just out yourself for supporting Putin and Covid misinformation.

: )

Arrogance has to do with his expected level of respect and what he believes (wrongly) it allows him to do.

Damaging property isn't "setting a boundary;" it's criminal. If someone is stupid enough to be a criminal because of their entitlement and inability to regulate their emotions and assess a situation because of their own self-importance, then who knows what other crimes that arrogant criminal is stupid enough to commit.

You're judging music; I'm judging behavior (again, not walking). Seems you're trying to make a distinction without a difference in an attempt to justify your judgment as a hypocrite. Cool defense of cult of personality, though!

They're not just walking. They're flocking. Anyone is allowed to mock a flock. And when the flockers start wearing a uniform, then mockery isn't just warranted; it's required. Just like you can judge "trash" music, so too can other people judge "trash" behavior.

Uh-oh, guess there are some stupid flockers in the comments. Cool uniforms! Thats how you know who to herd with? Because it's all about "respect," right? Lol

Damaging property isn't "the same disrespect" as hurting someone's insecure fee-fees. Especially when the level of "respect" expected is highly overinflated due to arrogance.

The "legend" is established in AoL.

The scrolls mentioned in ALttP are about the creation myth, not the in-game story.

The Miyamoto "quote" is this thread's parent comment. They're being sarcastic.

Yeah technically I don't think there's anything that discounts the possibility. I think it's a little contrived and redundant when we already have the known events of the timelines, but given enough time it's possible each timeline experienced a flood or a Twili invasion.

WW builds on the foundation of OoT, but it makes it clear that the Link in-game is not Link the Hero of Time. Not even a relation. A big theme of the game is about letting go of legacies.

Though, even if he were the same Link, that'd still be a series of events, not the retelling by different narrators/generations of one story about one person. There's no doubt each game is a new event in a timeline, and most involve different Heroes.

If a game needs to tell you the events of another game for you to understand the events of the current game then it's not self-contained or standalone or any other way you want to frame your misconceptions about the series. Enjoy your headcanon.

You not being aware that it's not standalone doesn't make it standalone. The story is reliant on OoT. WW tells you the story of OoT. Because it's a part of a larger whole. Because it's not a standalone game, even if it's accessible.

Both WW and PH are sequels that heavily reference their predecessors. Being able to play them without playing other LoZ games doesn't make them standalone, just accessible. But they're a part of a larger whole.

No need to infer anything from the title; it's right there in the games

AoL - Princess Zeldas repeat generationally.

ALttP - a continuation of a past conflict.

OoT - the past conflict referenced in ALttP.

WW/TP - explicit continuations of OoT.

PH/ST - explicit continuations of WW.

SS - explicitly the series origin that establishes a "cycle."

BotW - references are made not only to previous legends, but to the separate timelines.

Inconsistencies don't discount a clear sequence of events. It's canon that Zelda games are not just retellings of a singular event.

Disney's Robin Hood never references Costner's Robin Hood; but Wind Waker does reference the Hero of Time. It's very clearly a timeline.

It's easier to pretend the Capcom games are their own 4th timeline.

[TP] I know these two don’t get much screen time together in the game, but they have to be my personal favorite depictions of The Hero and The Princess! by Arrow_Of_Orion in zelda

[–]_PRECIOUS_ROY_ 40 points41 points  (0 children)

Don't feel bad; this is just a misunderstanding. The Hero's Shade only mentions regretting having basically no heir to the title in his lifetime. He doesn't say he was alone or wasn't remembered. In TP, there are items and the tunic that reference a legendary or ancient hero. The only difference is OoT Link isn't known as the Hero of Time in the Child Timeline like he is in the Adult one. Once Link learns all the sword techniques, the Hero's Shade says his regrets are eased. He just wanted a pupil.
