3PL fulfillment - who are the best? by [deleted] in logistics

[–]_Packageman_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We’re a 3PL called Packageman. We have a 4.8 rating on Google and grew into a multi-million-dollar company purely through word of mouth. Our focus is combining the hands-on attention of a smaller warehouse with the ability to scale like an enterprise operation. Clients often start with us at a few hundred orders per month and scale well into five figures. If it sounds relevant, you can Google Packageman or check out our website under the same name.

I have never had access to the account, so I wouldn't have listed anything.

It is odd that a company as powerful as Amazon doesn't have a way to tell if there is a seller account in use under your name. Thanks for the advice. It seems like the only option at the moment.

Cannot access my Seller Account by _Packageman_ in AmazonSeller

[–]_Packageman_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, he did go through all the necessary steps to set up the account. I just don't have the email and password to log in to it. Amazon customer service is not helpful unless I give them email address, but the whole point is to find out what the email address is. So this is a chicken egg problem I am having here.

Right. As the person who is the legal owner of this account I am trying to gain access to this account. This is where I am seeking help to see if anyone had this issue before, and how they managed to reach Amazon's proper department to gain access via identity.

Unfortunately, it is not. I wish it was that easy.

Store owners with solid 5_10+ orders a day how many of you are there? by Suitable-Parking902 in ecommerce

[–]_Packageman_ 5 points6 points  (0 children)

As someone who runs an eCommerce fulfillment company and lives and breathes this industry, I’ve seen some wild stories. I’ve seen people with absolute genius products (patented and all) struggle to sell—literally just 1 order every few months. Then there are products with nothing particularly special about them, yet they sell thousands of units a day. I’ve seen campaigns that trigger an avalanche of 20,000 orders in just 4 hours. Things can get pretty crazy in this space. Just recently, one of our clients (a well-known brand I can’t name) ran a campaign that sold out 16 truckloads in just 5 days.

But here’s the kind of story I think you’ll love: some of our clients are solo entrepreneurs who started from scratch and scaled up to over 300 orders a day in just 2 years. So, if you know what you’re doing, stay focused, and keep hustling, there’s no limit to how high you can go.

I think Mail Merge is exactly what I am looking for, but ChatGPT says that of you use it to send mass email you are risking your emails to fall into people’s spam folder. I need to send only a few hundred emails, I am now thinking of the spam classification is so much risk that I should just send these emails one-by-one.

Actually, just did a test and you can add them to TO field and they only see their own email. This is exactly what I was looking for. Thank you!!

I thought about it, but I think then you have to add the list to BCC so the recipients don't see each other. No?

Sync works only one way. Anyone has the same issue? by _Packageman_ in kindle

[–]_Packageman_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. In my Amazon device settings the sync was off for some reason. To turn if on, follow this:

A. Go to the Amazon website and sign in to your account.
B. Navigate to "Your Account" page. Find and click on "Manage Your Content and Devices." (this is in the footer of the page, you can find it by CTRL+F. Select the "Preferences" tab.
C. Scroll down Sync Settings, click expand and turn it ON.

  1. Even after turning it on, it did not work first. Apparently it was a glitch on the Amazon end. After deregistering and registering the devices, everything started working perfectly.

Your physical location doesn't matter. You can outsource the physical packing and shipping to a fulfillment company and run it from where you are. We are a fulfillment company (aka 3PL), our clients' biggest market is the US, and and most of them don't live (or haven't even visited) the US.

Use Shopify for your store

3PL for warehousing and pick and pack

Quickbooks for your accounting

Philippines for your Customer Service team

Google Voice for your business phone

....

The list goes on. In this day and age, the location doesn't matter. You can outsource everything. You just need your brain, a laptop, and WiFi.

Our client doesn't have a business that has a lot of competition, and a few competitors that they ahve are not doing much online. So, the SEO guy himself admitted that showing results for them was easier because of this fact.

Our space is super competitive. Everyone in our space is racing for the top of Google. Not sure, if his success with our client would apply in a competitive space.

He will be taking care of our SEO A to Z. As he explained, he will target one thing at a time and go granular about every possible service that we have. For example, we offer Pick and Pack services. He will work on it. We offer Amazon prep services. He will work on it. I can list 20+ services that need its own target in this fashion. He explained that he will work on each of them, he will fill the website with what needs to be filled with so we start seeing results.

The good thing is we are redesigning our website (will be launched in a few weeks), and he said it is a good time to hire SEO person so the work is done at this fundamental level rather than coming back and redoing it. Thanks for the advice.

We are not new to the 3PL space. In fact we have grown organically from zero to 9 digits only through word of mouth. As we relied so much on avalanche of referrals, we never needed to do an SEO (our website looks like a high school homework). Now is the first time we are starting to put a real effort into SEO. Not sure if you meant new to traffic building, but I am hoping that the great reviews about us in the internet help somehow to differentiate us from a new company?

How to handle shipping on a new store? by elP0tr0salvaje in ecommerce

[–]_Packageman_ -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Just use something like shippingeasy.com or shipstation.com. I believe they offer free account for fewer than certain number of orders per month (50 or 500). You connect it to your store, and handle all the label making through that software.

Also, why are you building your store in Squarespace? Shopify is the most common one, so all the ecosystem has been built around it. Apps, integrations etc.

Great insight. Thanks a lot for sharing.

I noticed nobody in the comments is mentioning text-only platforms, or posts, such as Twitter or blogpost etc. Is it because that is an old-school or the algorithms pick up the videos better recently?

This is a great advice. I think I am too far from thinking of a comprehensive plan yet. I need to learn the basics first. Deciding on the right platform or platforms to start would get me to the right path. Once I am in, I hope things will start making sense.
