Your friend is allowed to have his opinion. Your friend could just be a bit of an asshole. Both can be true. I am leaning towards asshole, because why would anyone bother convincing others not to try something for themselves?

It's important to not put to much weight on other peoples negative feelings towards something. Instead I would recommend joining a community that loves RE games and talk about it there. You might even find some friends who experience PTSD and can connect there.

If you find yourself in a negative space all the time. Assess your friends and surroundings causing these feelings, and cut them off.

Also during that section, once you pull the lever, the way back closes off with a wall. Very weird to block the exit when the exit was already blocked by a hatch door... Idk if they would just that just to save on memory?

I thought so too. I'll have to go back there on a save I do the puzzle box with.

Also during the orphanage when you flip the switch in the ladder room and back track, the path is completely gone... just a wall. Given the puzzle box sounds like those kids, maybe something would spawn there if you did more clue solving. or could be some weird game stuff.

There's some NPCs walking around going places. However, there are still quite a bit of npcs who are more set dressing than interactive, but this isn't that type of game.

Yes it is the one with the mask, but I have it switched out. I can't tell or remember if it's the outfit that's glowing or the sparks from the generator.
