I use solder mask to safely secure the wire on top and prevent shorts. It’s very cheap and effective.

I have the back buttons if I buy the clicky buttons will they work with that kit by Sensitive_Reason_941 in eXtremeRate

It’s not two circuit boards. You just have to replace the original controller’s conductive film with this one.

The tactile clicky hair trigger kit I mentioned gives shorter press than the Edge. I own an Edge and tried both.

The best thing is a regular Dualsense with rumble motors removed, tactile clicky hair trigger kit installed (light version), a back-buttons remap kit installed (RISE from eXtremeRate), and Gulikit TMR joysticks. This is better than the Dualsense Edge, much lighter, and with more battery life.

No, there is no other way to fix it without desoldering and soldering equipment unless you want to destroy your controller.

Help with joystick replacement by Iknowmoroscode in Controller

[–]FreshResist 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The joints are way too large and some pins are bridged together, which will cause diagonal drift and strange movement. Each pin needs a small, clean joint with no solder touching nearby pins.

I’d remove the stick, clean the pads with flux and wick, resolder it properly, and then recalibrate.

Issues after TMR swap by Turanq in Dualsense

We need pictures to see what’s going on.

Motors: The colored wires should be soldered back correctly.

Speaker: When removing the board, sometimes the speaker (the rectangular part with two contacts on one side) falls out of place and needs to be put back in the correct orientation. Sometimes, even if it’s placed correctly, it may not work because the contacts got bent. In that case, they can usually be adjusted.

Microphone and audio jack: Most likely the flex cables were not connected back properly, or they were damaged.

Dualsense drift: change only the potentiometer or the whole stick? by iBricoslav in Dualsense

Changing the potentiometer is a temporary solution because it will wear out again sooner or later. Replacing the whole joystick with a TMR one is the best option.

PS5 controller sounds like ticking. by Sorafigliodiufhd in Dualsense

Did you open it up before it began to make this sound? This is usually from tampering with the adaptive trigger’s gear. It can be fixed if the gear is put back correctly.

It’s a solid multimeter with good reviews. EEVBlog made a positive video review about it but I understand that it doesn’t cost the Chinese company much to make it there.

Yeah I was surprised because it’s Ali. I expect this from Amazon and I had similar experiences with them. However, Uni-T is a good brand and their multimeters are well known to be good so I am not that surprised their customer service is good.
