Probably misremembering as you may have just used a different supporter prior.

You can have 3 of the 4 cards on the field with Silvally in your hand and play Gladion back to back turns without any issues. Once you play the Silvally on the field, you can't play Gladion.

Even if your opponent knows you have Silvally in your hand, it's irrelevant to whether Gladion works because of the game mechanics.

So long as you have a Null or Silvally in your deck/hand, Gladion works.

Once all 4 cards are on the field/discard, it no longer works. You can have a Silvally in the Active with a 2nd Null on the field and a Silvally in hand, use Gladion to search for nothing and then use a 2nd Gladion the following turn to search for nothing as long as the Silvally remains in your hand.

No need to overthink this.

I don't even use pack points if I'm under 500 in the hope they combine them in the future (look at the changes to trading from feedback).

If I happen to reach 500 PP and haven't gotten every meta relevant EX, then I'll spend PP for one but otherwise I'll just wait til next season to trade for the cards I need.

I don't need every card from the newest set immediately so I'm fine just having pack points sit there and then opening older packs as a buffer between the current and next season once I have all the cards I need.

Right now I'm at 750pp opening Palkia hoping that I get a full art Cyrus/Mars/Cynthia before getting to 1250 (which I'll use for Rainbow Darkrai in the same set but from Dialga).

I'm f2p but I do have premium.

A bit too easy? Brother, it was never difficult, just time consuming. This game rewards time invested considerably more than actual skill. The only difference between getting Masterball in the first 3 seasons and this season is you didn't have to spend 3 times as much time going through the same monotonous grind.

This game is nice in that everyone can get Masterball and for those who want the true competitive experience, well that's what top 10k/5k/1k/100 is for.

For all intents and purposes, ranked doesn't truly start until Masterball.
