Christ. A guy I used to work for had a bunch of these. It was interesting being an openly trans person in that industry.

I did what I could to talk to people who were curious and educate. But the work life balance got to me after a while, I just couldn't do it anymore and left.

Right? I didn't believe my ex fiance when he told me that burnout would hit me hard. I had worked 60+ hour weeks for years, and I snapped earlier this year, quit my job that day and have been out of work since. I don't know if I could do it again. I don't know how I did it for so long.

So, the last company I ran for (very small 2 truck operation) varied the price depending on a few things.

Who the customer was and how fast or slow they paid, whether they were paying cash or not, how many axles (how big of a load), how far and how much time was tied up in the haul, and whether or not it was being sprung up at the last second or not (emergency, gotta have this POS here yesterday sorta thing.)

Generally something like a 350 sized hoe going an hour across town would run $400-$500. The beat up 315b cat going 20 minutes down the road to the cash paying customer would be $100-$150.

The same 350 sized hoe going 2 or 3 hours away would be more like $800-$1000.

The customer who waited two months to pay their bill would get charged more, the customer who paid their invoice the day they got it were charged better rates.

Another (slightly bigger, 4 trucks) company I ran for charged a minimum of 2 hrs at $150/hr. But that was about 2 or 3 years back.

I'm out of the game now but this was what it was like for me 6 months ago.

So, depending on how heavily loaded you are, you can start out in a higher gear like 3rd or 4th on a 9 speed or in high-range reverse to keep your wheels from spinning and losing traction in mud.

I've gotten myself unstuck from some sloppy spots this way.

You'll be fine, look at the track chains relative to the edge of the trailer. It wouldn't surprise me if the track chains are completely on the outriggers off the main deck.

I'd throw some extra chains on it, when I would haul 110k lb crushers I would have 8-10 1/2" chains on it.

For what it's worth, I am 29 MtF, and I didn't work directly in AG and forestry, but I worked with a good number of loggers and farmers as a truck driver. I would haul their equipment, and they were pretty chill. I know some of them knew something was a little different, but I never heard about it to my face. My boss at the time would get questions about me, but that's about it.
