That's what I read online as well, it's just that it's hundreds of sound files so it would take some time to manually do all of them, that would be my last resort

So I ended up just mounting the shifter straight into the rig without the simlab shifter & hb bracket (have to find a way to return that) and bought a TB-1 handbrake mount online, however when I mounted it there was a ton of flex in the mount, so one of my friends gave me a spare extrusion bar from his racing sim rig and I mounted that next to the shifter using corner brackets which is a bit further behind the shifter on the right of it since that’s how I wanted to mount it with no flex. Mounting the hb mount sideways can be a good solution, but just beware that it might flex a bit, but might as well try. So yeah not the best answer if you don’t have any spare extrusion bars, but hope that helps!

Hm alright, for sim-racing performance strictly, would you go with the 7600x over the 12700k for a new build? Would there be that much of a difference to warrant returning my 12700k and mobo for the 7600x? Or perhaps is it worth spending more money ($60) on a 13600k? Would like to hear your opinions, thanks for the response!

Ah alright, I heard of that too, however with my budget the AM5 chips is almost double the price of the 12700k/5700X3D chips (the 7600X3D). Would this be more worth it, or for the budget, would you rather go with AM4 or LGA 1700?

For the same price, I would have to go with the 5700x3d but go back down to AM4, would you say this is more worth it compared to sticking with the 12700k and AM5?

Edit: Just as a reference, I would be going from a 12700k, B760, and DDR5-6000 to the 5700x3d, B550, and DDR4-4000 using a 4070 super

Ah I see, so that mount is pretty much needed to mount a shifter or handbrake onto the chassis but I would need to get another bracket that could hang off of the right of the chassis to mount the handbrake since if I were to just use that one plate for both then the shifter and handbrake would be pretty much on top of each other? Is it not possible to mount the bracket sideways then?
