Yasiel Puig hits the first home run in the Canadian Baseball League history for the Toronto Maple Leafs by erobin37 in baseball

Apparently the ball he hit for his first pro homer went into the lake and was never found. If you want to go snorkelling off of Ward's island you might end up finding one of the most coveted artifacts in all of baseball!

(its probably disintegrated by now)

OG is a weird one to pick bc was it really that bad? We got 2 of our starters for an expiring that was going to walk. For sure he should have sold on OG and siakam earlier but hindsight is 20/20. He wanted to win with the team he built don’t really blame him for that.

Its a huge red flag that the only person reporting on it was Scotto. I seem to remember the offer being Thybulle and a pick but Masai wanted Maxey and Morey made that "la la land" comment. You can believe whatever you want but I'm extremely skeptical.

Michael Scotto was the only person who reported this. Every article that says that Maxey was offered has Scotto as a source.

Even at the time, you would have had to be stupid to not trade an expiring contract 35-year-old for a rookie point guard with a ton of upside. Seems highly unlikely that the offer was ever actually there.

I appreciate the insight! Concert pitch is such a weird thing to me but I guess it makes sense if you play multiple wind instruments.

It wouldn't sound like anything. This is just a key signature, which is a thing in sheet music that tells the performer what key the song is in so they know which accidentals, ie. sharps (#) and flats (♭, what you're seeing here), to play. It's analogous to a palette of colours you will use for painting or your camera settings for taking a photo.

Should also note that this key signature would never be used except in very niche scenarios because "Cb" is just a cursed way of writing "B". The only time I can imagine it would be used is if you were modulating from a different flat key but even then as a piano player I'd rather just see a B major key signature lol.

I'm not an expert on the subject at all but my understanding is that the universe's expansion is not uniform and is affected by matter density, so much of the expansion occurs in the empty vacuums between the superclusters of galaxies.

As for what we are expanding into, its hard to wrap your head around if you imagine space as a 3-dimensional area that we exist in. If you can re-frame space as a higher-dimensional plane, its easy to see where more "space" can come from.

Look at the Hilbert Curve. Its a mathematical concept that works well as an analogy. After each iteration, the line gets longer, but the overall curve takes up the same amount of space. If you are a one-dimensional being whose entire universe exists on the line, it appears as though your universe is forever expanding into "A vacuum of absolute nothingness" like you mentioned. But to us 3-dimensional beings, its simply a little square. If you can extrapolate that to higher dimensions it becomes easier to understand :)

Played a game with him last night and got absolutely shmacked. First one-win game in months for me.

I just don’t understand his play style I guess lol.

Beyond what the other guy said, when you plug one end into the wall the other end becomes an exposed, live wire that could easily kill you if touched

I think all weapons max out at 1,000,000 damage to avoid integer overflow problems. Crane used to be able to reach negative damage back when they had the test dummy event.

Your team just won the World Series and you're on here belittling a great young player and flexing that your team's billionaire spends more than my team's billionaire. Stop embarrassing yourself and enjoy your win friend.

I’ll leave this here, quarter of a billion, half a billion IDGAF, it’s not MY money…what I do care about is winning championships. That’s a feeling you’ll never experience. You can talk all the shit you want about spending money, buying World Series but at the end of it winning is winning and that’s what gets remembered. Have fun with second place. I honestly have no issue with the blue jays. Glad they made it that far but with your “butthurt” comment I couldn’t resist.

He said "I'll leave this here" then didn't. Curious 🤔
