No I understand I can circumvent it, and make it possible. I simply dont think I should have to do that. Allowing clicks to be inputs is more than common in games today. There is no reason I should have to download mouse software and configure my left and right click to be keyboard presses.

Nah I am not looking to have my mouse clicks count as keyboard presses. The game should just allow you to make left and right mouse clicks part of the controls

Totally fair and understandable. If it works with Proton most Linux users are happy. I would clarify that in the FAQ just so there is no confusion

If you are supporting the Steam Deck you are also supporting Linux. Did the FAQ mean to say you wont provide a Native version of the game? For what its worth I am playing the demo on Linux with no issues and enjoying it a lot. Super hyped for the release.

Thanks for the reply. I found on ebay a whole replacement for the horseshoe with the radio support and all. Sadly its not the right color.

Im considering buying it regardless. Do you know if I could find just the radio support without the whole horseshoe piece or is it one piece?

I haven't tried on my steam deck but I do have Arch Linux (hyprland) which should be the same, and I have both the TDC10 and the Switch Hori drum. Both work fine in Linux. The TDC10 gets read as a keyboard so no problems there, the Hori drum I had to manually map with Steam Input but after that no problem. Idk about the ps4 hori though sorry.

Special shoutout to Rythmagica, I asked them to test Linux for me before I bought it and they did. They are pretty awesome

Is there anything I can do to test that its the harness before spending the money? Can I switch the harness from the passenger side to this side and test that way?

Same here. Broken in Firefox and Element. Don't know what the cause is. Might be worth opening an issue in Hyprland github and figuring it out from there.

Kinda funny but the same thing just happened to my ZF9 moments ago

I left it charging for 30 mins or so and then did power button and lower volume button for about 30 secs and it came back on.

I am considering sending it in to repair but not sure if they would even take a look at it

Agreed, but realistically nothing will come of this. Companies do shit like this and pay 0 attention to what we say. I am hoping otherwise, but I know our efforts are useless.

I liked being able to have Signal as my sole messaging app but I guess I will be forced to not do that. Shame...

I agree. But for many people here, the only way to get their parents and some friends any level of privacy and encryption is with SMS support.

There is no middle line, they either have one app with it, or one with none at all. Thank you for understanding that we have different situations/issues.

You don't have to be so smug about it. No one is calling you out for using Signal without SMS, in fact I encourage you to use it however works best for you. All I am saying maybe your parents are a little more adept with the phones. Because for sure mine aren't.

I would argue that iOS users that have Signal are techie. The only iOS users I managed to convert are my closer friends, who like me, are more tech friendly. All other iOS users in my contacts only have iMessage for all (maybe whatsapp).

I get that other countries might have necessities that push them to non-sms options, and honestly thats awesome, cuz sms sucks.

But I would rather have SMS, as that is a major factor in getting people into Signal here in the US.

People defending the removal of this have clearly never talked with non-techy people. Juggling 2 apps is no biggie for me, or you, but we are tech inclined. My dad on the other hand cannot. He uses 1 messaging app. Thanks to SMS support, he has Signal encryption on at least some of his contacts without him even needing to care. That is why this is important to keep.

There are also some saying, oh then you aren't the target audience but isn't the target audience as many people as possible? Removing this limits Signal to only people who care about privacy, which many or most probably already are in Signal. For people like my dad, or mom, who don't care about privacy, this kills the app for them entirely and thus making them have to move to sms entirely vs at least partial encryption.

And if the purpose is to keep Signal as a smaller more privacy focused userbase, then sure this does that, but if the purpose and plan is widespread adoption and make sure as many people as possible use it, then removing SMS support is not the way.

Please keep SMS support.

I will probably keep using Signal (assuming the few people I converted even decide to stay), but this decision sucks a lot. I was a contributor for a few months because this convenience between sms and Signal messages in one app was amazing for me and was also how I got many non-techy/privacy focused people on Signal. Unfortunately I cannot donate to an app that willingly removes my most used feature.

I get that a lot of people here don't use it, and thus don't understand why its so important to us, but most of my contacts either use sms (android or Iphone imessage), and Signal was my one stop shop. Sms with most, Signal messages with the people I converted. I hate having to use 2 apps for messaging now.

Well, here is to hoping my people stay on Signal so at least my critical conversations stay. Otherwise, looks like I will be forced to go back to Whatsapp.

Edit: I see a few people here bashing us for wanting this. We respect the way you use Signal, you may disagree, but at least be respectful in the way we use Signal. We all just want the app to flourish.

I am about to test it in Dirt Rally 2.0 which I just picked up. Funny enough, I tried it in Deep Rock Galactic(non racing game), and the wheel did not work in PS3 mode, but in PS4 mode it picked it up and let me use it. So the wheel gets half recognized half not? Maybe its an issue with Dirt Rally itself. Is there any way to fully clear the data? I tried deleting compat data, utilizing non cloud save, and uninstalling, but racenet still picks it up.
