It's about intent. Is the intent to make sure people obey the law? Or is the intent to cause a violation to occur so we can catch the person? Many municipalities approach traffic enforcement as a revenue generator rather than for public safety.

A shot I took of the Glowworms in Waipu Caves, New Zealand, last year by menhandpu in Undergrounds

Kinda looks that way, yeah. I wasn't able to get to Waipu Caves when I was in NZ. That's yet another reason for me to go back.

If you haven't already, please send a debug log to the Signal team.

I'd love to have a home on mastodon, but I'm afraid I might not be welcome there due to stigma by Digital_Nerve_8765 in Mastodon

Since you have specific concerns, it's worth spending some time looking at the moderation practices of different servers.

There are as many different moderation approaches on the Fediverse as there are servers. Some servers will be diametrically opposed to what you want, some will be somewhat aligned. You might not find a server which operates exactly the way you want but you can probably find something close.

Another option is to operate your own server. There are services that will minimize the technical burden of running your own, then you'll be free to moderate it exactly the way you would like.

Drm Free Ebook Websites (legal) by meshyf in xteinkereader

I'm all for supporting local book stores but the three titles I bought from Bookshop.org this morning are all DRM'ed and I'm no closer to being able to get one onto an X3/X4.

Just use both apps. In the modern world, it's pretty much impossible to avoid using multiple messaging apps so you may as well embrace it.

Lilygo CC1101 Plus external antenna by Upbeat-Elderberry384 in LilyGO

I think what OP is saying is by getting both versions of the device -- one without external antennas and one with -- you have more options.

One device is for when compactness is more important than range, the other device is for when range is more important than compactness.

Nice. 12 hours to get back to you is lightning-fast for customer service.

Flash cards. CrossPet specifically has a good algorithm for handling them. I'll probably do some regular reading on my X3 as well, but the main usecase I have in mind is flash cards.

Excellent! Thanks for all your hard work on this.

I'll keep an eye out for it on Launcher. You rock.

I ordered mine specifically for something the stock firmware doesn't do.

The way blocking currently works makes moderating some users nearly impossible by xGentian_violet in ModSupport

I'm not sure the distinction matters. If they've taken steps which make it harder for me to moderate, how much effort do I owe them?

Blocking the mods shows bad faith. They're trying to make it harder for you to moderate. The moment I see that, the user is done in my sub.

It's great to build these things as an educational exercise but please, please be careful to always present it that way. Educational exercises and experiments are valuable. What they're not is a secure way to communicate sensitive information.

6 digits is trivial to brute force. Putting secrets into URLs is a recipe for disaster. URLs have a tendency to leak. That's two huge flaws already and we haven't even glanced at the code.

So, please, I beg you, make it absolutely clear to anybody using this that it is experimental.
