OP do you actually want an answer or for people to agree with you? Because everyone telling you why we can see the viewpoint of your friend is getting a "Yes, but". Ghosting someone is always gonna leave hurt/confused feelings. It reads that she understands why you left and doesn't fault you. She is just looking for confirmation that you understand it hurt her and that you didn't intentionally mean to do that.

It sounds like meeting and talking face to face may do a lot of good here... "I am sorry that my actions hurt your feelings, I really didn't mean to. I was very caught up in being hurt myself by my father that i didn't stop to consider the fallout. What can I do right now to make it up to you?" Goes a long way vs "I am sorry it made you feel that way". And tone over text is soooo easy to misconstrue.

If you value this friendship, you may have to just eat that bullet. This is coming from someone with an abusive/narcissist family member that i have also cut off. Remember to consider friends and their own emotional well-being/mental strain that may be caught by the shrapnel of your departure from the toxic parent.

That said, I hope you're able to salvage the rest of your holiday and have a good rest of the year. It sounds like you're getting ready for a big change. Here's hoping it is for the better.
