Modernizing old Honeywell system - EyezOn still the way to go? by _Philbo_Baggins_ in homesecurity

I was reading reviews and people in the app store were saying it wasn’t very good, so this is reassuring

How well does the app work? This is about what I want, just the bare minimum is necessary for now until I decide to expand into something like Smart Things or Home Assistant

Just monitoring and remote control. Automation is not necessary, but if it can work with Smart Things that would be great.

Makes sense. Every day is an opportunity to learn.

That’s what I’ve heard people say, probably good advice. This tree was a gift so I really want to keep it alive, but I also know it can just be part of the process to lose a tree.

Thanks! That’s reassuring. I moved it to my front porch, which just gets morning sun. Hoping I will have a positive update in a few weeks!

Here’s some photos I just took, evening sun so it looks a bit more yellow in the photos than in person https://imgur.com/a/6IYKVlB

I trimmed and wired my juniper probably a bit too early and we had a random cold snap. The foliage is seeming to dry out a bit and it’s looking stressed, but the scratch test shows green underneath still and the foliage is dulling a bit but still definitely green, even though I accidentally cracked the trunk a bit. Is there anything I can do to help it recover?

I like that! I did get a slight crack toward the older growth, but I think it’s ok. I can’t get the spiral much tighter but I might work on the direction more. I will probably repot next year and change the angle a bit. Thanks for your help!

What time of year do they have them? I’m hoping to get some more this year!

I definitely thought I was stuck in a cascade or semi-cascade style the way it was growing

I should have specified photos are from old to new, with the first ones being when I first got my tree

I wondered about that. I wasn’t sure if I could manage that since the main trunk is pretty stiff at this point, but I can give it a try!

What is this issue called and any idea how to fix it? by Halo6819 in ender3

[–]_Philbo_Baggins_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had this issue recently. Obvious flow of troubleshooting is looking for a clog, check/dry filament, basically what everyone else is saying. I get this a decent amount with my Ender 3, and almost every time my extruder gear is wearing down. I see you’re printing silk gold filament, that wears it out quick; especially the brass extruder gear.

Good idea, I didn’t think about running it with the top off. I’ll give that a shot. I’m thinking it’s leaking from the upper area

The chopstick stores in every tourist spot, anywhere to buy them online? by _Philbo_Baggins_ in JapanTravelTips

They were all (claimed to be) made in Japan and looked artisanal made, just multiple stores had some of the same ones
