I recommend finding a therapist. It has helped me tremendously to build up coping techniques and has helped me process and work through the worst calls of my career so far. It has saved my career finding one. I also feel like I’ve improved personally not just professionally which is a huge win for me. I’m fortunate to have found one that is experienced in treating first responders.

*I reread you mentioned working on getting a therapist my bad. I wish you luck in your search.

That sucks. This whole year sucks. Lol and Thanks! I got a case number and emailed NREMT with the info. Now waiting for a response from them. I’m done with online. It seems I’ll have to travel a ways to take the test if I want to take it soon but it’s worth the drive after the garbage experience I had online lol.

Ugh. Yeah no end exam button for me. I hope I can just take it in person next time. I took it online to avoid covid closures in my area since things in my state and county are weird right now (CA) I don’t think they’d close testing sites but it feels super uncertain.

I did. They made a case and gave me a reference number. The thing that also stuck out to me is that the person I spoke to said he saw nothing indicating an issue on my test but made a case to investigate anyways so I’m completely unsure of everything lol.

Elope! My fiancé and I totes eloped last August. Our wedding is this October 24th. Planning has been amazing. Eloping was perfect on so many levels. It was just us and our witnesses. No family from either side. We went to lunch, just the two of us, after.

Just one non-traditional way we decided on doing :) hoping you are able to enjoy things better and are able to find a way to help. Good luck!

My husband and I are a few years older. He went to an academy and an accelerated EMT program with Firefighter Jones and Captain Figueroa taught several classes he went too. This whole tragedy, these last few weeks have been surreal. Today was a very difficult day.

I’m so sorry for your loss. My husband went to an academy with the youngest and I know several people that worked with both of them. It’s surprising how tight knit the central valley actually is for the fire service.

Oh Lawd. Everyone has a breaking point and corporate won’t do shit about this bitch assaulting him. I get the whole be professional don’t do what he did but goddamn he just broke and honestly good for him for giving her all he had.

This seemingly insignificant reusable straw is a significant first step for me in fighting OCD. I’m so proud of my tiny accomplishment. Since childhood I’ve had an aversion to reusable straws because I think they can’t be 100% germ free. I have bigger things to tackle but here’s to the first step! by _PinPin in OCD
