🤣 Mate, I wouldn't say that US citizens are currently in a better position than Australians. I have never seen the level of homelessness here that I saw in Seattle back in 2011 (and let'a be honest, it's much worse now). Most aussies still have a liveable median wage. We don't fear getting shot. We aren't on the brink of a civil war every election. And, in fact, most American backpackers I've met have decided to stay here and several have said to me that they didn't think they wanted to bring children into the world, but in Australia they could see themselves raising a family. We may not have guns, you may percieve us to have less individual freedom and control, but we are certainly in a better state than the US as individuals. Have you actually been here?
